James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Like I just said it isn't the players fault, about the club being held to ransom it's the joke of the NRL system that has been wrong for years about the way its done. could you imagine an American sport where players sign to another team for the following year? seriously fix the system up

Have free agents the final week of October, don't give me that crap that players have to think about where they wanna live for the next year, me people here and others also have a life with family and we don't get to choose 1 year ahead of time where we wanna be for our jobs and I can tell you now the average person doesn't get paid 800k a year.

If you told me now you would pay me 800k for a job in QLD starting in 3 months time I would move our family there in a heartbeat for a year if we all agreed.

Getting very tired of it all, if they go then buy-bye.
This last few days has been pretty intense and I think the best thing for our club is to know early so we can make other plans.

Teddy should sign soon. Other teams are starting to work him out on field. As such he's at his peak and will only come off the boil from here on.

Would you say that if he were staying…..

Teams are figuring it out because we just throw the ball at him and expect him to do something. He is literally our only weapon at the moment.

A 6 million 5 year contract with the Roosters is my mail.

Time will tell if my source is correct.

I love the WT however if I was Teddy I would also move to the Rooster who don't have the drama our club goes through plus a handy pack of forwards to provide protection

1.2 mil a year thats handy, as good a player as he is and as much as i'd like him to stay, he is not worth that sort of coin.

Haha all based on a $10M salary cap which has not been approved yet

#1 yes they do have the drama, their halfback assaulted a dog last year and they nearly came last, you recall? Not even close to the first or only item in a list of dramas for the Roosters.

#2 why does a fullback require a pack of forwards to provide protection? They are hanging out behind the play and injecting into the backline anyway.

As good as he is I would not be offering anyone a five year contract on massive money, to many things can go wrong than your cap is stuffed

If he ends up signing with the roosters I will not watch another NRL game, forget about just following this club screw the NRL, it would prove the salary cap is rigged, and doesn't work and we just see rich clubs and news limited teams sign everybody cheating the cap with third party payments.

forge about our club being a basket case the NRL is a basket case and run by armatures, it's the only sport in the world where you can sign to another team for another season the following year it's pathetic

I think i'll be pretty close behind you.

I'll be there too.

Ultimately, as I've mentioned on other pages, I don't think it's healthy from a fan's perspective to consider Tedesco leaving. It should not even be fathomable. But he has made statements alluding to his potential to leave so here we are. It sucks.

Us fan's are disenchanted and clearly now we are getting apathetic.
WE ARE FED UP. Sign now or leave now. I'm over this garbage dragging out any longer.

Sounds like your source read this Dean Ritchie article - http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/teams/tigers/james-tedesco-wants-to-quit-wests-tigers-as-roosters-lurk/news-story/4441cb78a4b0dabd4209fa17cb45c370

me 4 …

so over the BS that goes on and in around the NRL.

listening to that tool ennis last night saying teddy should go to another team to play finals footy (doggiesbro, eh mick, wink wink) and then the 'little violin' courting teddy to the roorters last night as well really annoyed the s... out of me.

big mal hit the nail on the head, show a bit of loyalty (hoping this concept is not completely dead and buried) and urged teddy to just re-sign to the tigers.
just do it teddy !

hurts to say after being a long time member but soooo glad i didnt renew my membership this year.

Exactly. How many players are the Roosters going to have on their books. They'll be lucky to be field a first grade team.

Hang on a sec you just said Tedesco should show loyalty, but you congratulated yourself for not renewing your membership. Hypocritical don't you think?

This is tops isn't it.

Personally I want Woods to go and if Teddy goes I'm fine with it. They have had so long to sign and they haven't so they can go.

As well the 1.2 mil a year I am sure that he will also be collecting huge TPA money provided by the privileged eastern suburbs folk who support the Roosters. Surely the NRL must be aware of these inequities yet they do nothing. So much for the working man's game.
