James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

I love Teddy and what he brings to our team, but if the reality is he would be more successful at another club I cant blame him for weighing up his options. Sometimes change is the best thing.

Roosters have an adequate replacement for Gordan in Latrell Mitchell.

The guy crossed over 14 times in his rookie year (@ only 18). I doubt he will want to wait another 4-5 years for the FB spot, so they risk losing him if Teddy signs a long term deal.

I'd ask for Mitchell in return, as he has shown enough that he is capable of handling NRL level.
He already has the physique, strength & speed to match it with the big guys, and has natural attacking instincts.

I would prefer Teddy, as he has proven himself in all facets of the game, but a compensation pick is a must if he walks out.

Tedesco is a live wire,an explosive, dynamic ,superstar player…WHEN everything goes his way and has some fabulous try scoring highlights....but what happened when he got seriously injured and was sidelined for the entire season after his piddly debut,,the wests tigers looked after him and gave him the opportunity to stay with them while they nurtured and developed him and rehabilitated him so he could go on and play great football again for the club and make an SOO debut,,,now in his eyes we are a basket case club full of dramas on and off the field...well Teddy your manager is to blame for most of that and you should have the balls to stand up and say " the club looked after me when I was down and out' and I should look after them in return, however bigger things are on the horizon so get stuffed WTs ,..PLEASE DONT TELL ME IM WRONG or you can all go and get stuffed....

I couldn't give a rats arse what people think of me and my opinion….I'm completely over these players thinking they are doing us a favour by being here...the club gave them opportunity and whatever they wanted to stay here, however a couple had forgotten to reciprocate...couldn't give a s*** what happens to ungrateful egotistical wanna bees......

It's a shame fans and members love their club unfortunately players today don't. It's all about money this game has lost its soul. Greed is the new cancer….will we ever come back from this..... I hope so... feels like a death in the family... I was a west tigers supporter yesterday I am today and will be tomorrow. Win lose or draw as long as those who wear the colours out onto the field and play with pride I will be happy...

To those players that don't want to be here I hope your decisions make you happy... I hope all the money in the world makes you happy.... I doubt it though.. good luck to you...

WEsts Tigers forever,,,

I don't care about greed. Thats human nature. Not many of us would refuse a higher paying job that in all other respects is equal.

The explanation that they are doing this because they want to play finals football is disgraceful. It says to their supposed mates that they think they are crap footballers. What a shoddy attitude. Woods should be immediately stripped of the captaincy given his comments.

Teddy, Woods and Moses are a joke,

It's not supposed to be just a job, that's the thing… they aren't stacking shelves at woolies. From a young age they are trying to do things that most regular people cannot do. If it was just talent and a skill set that they needed. I would be with them saying it's just a job..

However when they were young wannabe footballers begging hoping and wishing somewhere that a coach would take a chance on them, begging for just an opportunity to play on the main stage they didn't turn it down because the management wasn't ideal. They weren't winging about the fitness equipment days before they were making their debut.

Bulldogs, roosters and they like weren't lining up to have them taking the field as 20 year olds offering their first contract..

I'm sorry but these guys do deserve to play on less money for a period of time and stick together to be the driving force. They owe it to the people who took a chance on them, they owe it to the fans that cheered for them on debut and they owe it to the support staff that got them to the stage that are now.

You should always leave something better than you found it. Or else the game will no longer be around for their grandkids to enjoy. Do you think the teams will continue to invest in future generations without reward? Will fans still support development teams if they are languishing on the bottom of the ladder because as soon as a player gets a better offer they move on??

These three players are hurting their lageacy's, they are hurting rugby league development and they are hurting the future of the NRL.

Moses, tedesco and woods need to take a long hard look in the mirror and have to ask themselves what kind of person do they need to be...

Guys, please cut out the swearing and disguised swearing. It's not hard to do, but if it continues I will continue to delete posts.

Just a question.

How many games has Tedesco played / missed since he made his debut?

A million dollars plus for someone who is injury prone seems a bit over the top.

Don't get me wrong, he's an attacking force but if he's not on the field it doesn't matter how talented he is.

He does get targeted by opposing teams and his running style surely would be punishing his ankles and feet. He always puts his heart into every game.

The criticism of Teddy and Woods is laughable.Any player in the same situation would be considering their options.

Bird is considering his Widdop is considering his - and both clubs have expressed interest in keeping those players with good offers.
If either of them dumped their clubs and came to the WTs no one could give rats about their character. Just like other clubs will welcome Teddy and Woods.
The reaction by some on here is completely over the top.

They owe our club no more than any other player owes a club but they sure have endured alot more than most.

The difference between those players and Woods is Woods is supposed to be captain. Do you ever see Smith or Thurston as non committal as Woods? Has any captain ever totally ignored their current club? When Steve Price left the Bulldogs, you could tell it was the toughest decision of his life. It tore him up. Woods doesn't care. That's all some of us are looking for, to show that he cares. Why is he captain otherwise?

We the fans mean squat to them basically. They don't care about the stress and rage we get put through in support of them. We are the only constant at WT that they should be loyal to and they are choosing not to be. They are the underachievers that have disappointed us and now they are giving up and leaving for greener pastures. So, the disappointment and betrayal we feel is justified.

I wonder if they would feel more loyalty to the fans if they had one home base and a united fanbase. Do the Eels and Sea Eagles feel more loyalty?
