James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Feel for Tedesco, I mean imagine having A multi million dollar offer there for close to 10 months. These things take time and CANT be rushed. i mean there's so much to consider.

The thing that woods and Tedesco don't seem to get is while they are saying they want to see what direction the club is heading with signings etc that tigers can't really make any plays for off contract players until those 2 or atleast one of them makes up their minds.

It's just amateur hour from all involved.

One thing can't happen without the other. One party needs to have the guts to pull the trigger first so we can all move on. Cannot believe we are heading into round 8 we're still going through this. How stupid of me to have been expecting to get these guys wrapped up in February.

Makes it hard for the players when we change coach mid stream and rumours were about that Cleary had been on the radar since early January

Can understand that but the club has made that decision and it's not gonna change. There's no real need for them to drag this out further. They have been addressed by Cleary about the his direction for the club so they are either with it or they aren't. There's really nothing. Ore to think about. Especially woods. I would of give him a deadline a week ago

Bit hard to complain about dumping the coach the majority of supporters had been calling to happen for 12 months for the coach who the same majority called to replace him with and who were convinced would be the key to these guys re-signing. Now its not turning out to plan, the supporters conveniently forget this is what they wanted. Can't pin this one on the club.

These players need to make up their minds and fast. Really becoming a pain in the rear. For God's sake, stay or go. It cannot be that hard.

SG..What is the latest from inside…will a decision be made this week on Tedesco and Woods?...

The longer they hold out the more likely they are to leave?...I mean 4 weeks ago Woodsy was all about wanting to know the direction of the club before he commits, he has that now so whats the hold up?

Tedesco set to make a decision soon. Has deleted twitter and says the processs has taken its toll on him ( and us). Fingers crossed.

Not a good thing , he may have learnt from last time when he ended up shutting down all of his social media because of the abuse

I hope he stays. Did people really abuse him on social media last time ?

The worst abuse was on this forum.
Changing his name to Tede$co and thinking he was leaving for money.
His family doesn't wait on his pay check each week like Radraddra Milford and co.
The reason he wanted to leave is the same reason he wants out now and seeing nothing has changed at Wests Tigers I guess he will not be staying.

Why are you asking him..he wouldn't have a clue.
Woods has already left. If Tedesco is smart and I think he is, I wouldn't be going to the same club as Woods.

so if it wasn't for the money why was he leaving?

Oh leaving the club that stuck by him when he was injured. Or the club that keeps paying him when he hasn't even completed one full year.

What do you mean stuck by him what else would they do? Hundreds of players get injured and they all get paid. Hayne is injured his still getting paid. Duggan is injured and his still getting paid.
What has meeting contract obligations got to do with wanting to leave to play in a winning team.

Both are leaving if they were not they would of already signed .. I will be very surprised if they sign on .Just hope they show a someback bone and let the club know so they can move on especially when the club have brought them to this point

I still think they are both staying but time will tell. I think Woods leaving is a good thing for the club. I think losing Tedesco would be really really bad but the club will go on.

My take on it is that they want to see who we sign before committing.

If we get Widdop or another top line 5/8, as well as another good forward or two, on top of who we have already signed, it will give them confidence that the club is moving in the right direction.

There is no other reason for them not to have made a decision by now .. all the offers are in. I can only assume they are waiting to see where our club is going to be positioned moving forward.

And yes I believe The tigers have more than helped him financially for a player that hasn't really played a full season

I am still happy with Cleary over JT nothing has changed, if Teddy and Woods leave they never wanted to to be here anyway. I hope Teddy stays but we will be better with or with out him. A decision needs to happen one way or another so we can get some signings.

I can't wait if Tedesco or Woods do re-sign, what 80% of posters in here will say, because you're all convinced for some reason or another that they are leaving.

no other club is offering Tedesco the coin tigers are. Bulldogs have bigger issues than needing a front rower so they won't be offering big dollars for woods either.

See what the next 2-3 days bring.

Im convinced Teddy is leaving.

I have no source its just gut feeling.

What will you have to say if they leave, that those 80% are right?

I will say: "Well, that happened, it was one of the two possible outcomes." I currently have no opinion either way and I'm not interested in guessing or leaning on gut feeling, it does nothing for me.

Don't get me wrong, speculate all you like. I've just noticed how many people are leaning towards them leaving because… well because of nothing except gut feelings and the attempted digesting of media noise / body language.

Leave or stay, just sort it.

Ive always said, the same as every time a big star is leaving or retiring, that the game goes on.

There are 100 youngsters desperate for a crack, and the talent gets better and better. Sure, Tedesco is a superstar, but there have been hundreds of them before, and they will continue appearing.

Who can remember the stars of the 80s, overtaken by the stars of the 90s, then the 00s, now the 10s. The stars of the 20s are coming.

Just hurry up.

I reckon they will both re-sign but I hope Woods doesn't. Worst case for me is that Woods re-signs and Tedesco moves on.
