Japan 2020* Olympics

Gold and Olympic Record to Kaylee McKeown - Women's 100m Backstroke was pretty good. Came from a fair way behind.

@cochise ...obviously must have someone mixed up then ......apologies

Kaylee Mckeon who just won lost her father last August to cancer.

But there is another family that you are referring to, I can't remember their name right now.

Robert Nay was killed in a car accident in 1992 and was a former Olympic swimmer. His daughter was Meagan Nay who was also an Olympic swimmer.

Sadly her brother was also killed in a car accident in 2009.

Owen Wright and Sally Fitzgibbons looking good in the surfing - shame about the quality of the surf, but they're surfing with good strategy.

Water quality looks suss ?

Don't mess with the Bra Boys Hobbs ...not sure your Posse could cope .....

I'm very impressed with the enthusiasm with which the surfers have approached the Olympics. They're tackling it as a team and obviously loving being around the other athletes in the village.

Some athletes seem to give the Olympics the brush or treat it as just another event. It's good to see athletes genuinely invested - Sally F and Steph G were in tears at missing the finals.

Owen Wright, great effort and a salute to true resolve in recovering from injury.

Congrats to Owen Wright on taking bronze and knocking over Gabriel Medina in the process in the men's surfing. Considering he had to learn to walk and talk again after suffering a TBI at Pipeline, all credit to the man.
