OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

An optimistic perspective and that this isn't as bad as we are initially thinking (who can blame us after the shit we have copped as fans).

I have a theory.. based on nothing but my own assessment of luai and his relationship with Benji and Latu.

Luai's rates Latu highly.. so highly thatv Galvin wanted to leave because he knew long term the plan was to move Galvin to 13 to accommodate latu.

Maybe, just maybe, luai is putting Latu first.. that his comment on socials last week was in reference to latu.. and that he knows within himself he isn't all in with the tigers anymore with one eye on PNG.

Maybe???

A less optimistic proposal ..:
Do you think it’s possible tnat Benji didn’t like that post he did last week after the game and there has been a falling out ?

I find this hard to believe because who would want him?

And people thought he was the saviour? It was clear Penrith didn't want him and there was a reason why. He may have changed the attitude a bit in the club and maybe helped bring a player or two to the club but his perfomances have been sub par, so overall, a failure and a very expensive one.

Lets hope he's not in the ear of some of the current players, and lets hope he's not talking the joint down in general, outside the club.

I still hope that he's going to play to part of the level of what we're paying him, he still may have it in him.

Perth would take him … it’s worth it to them in publicity alone … but he still has to agree to go which I doubt is happening for 1 year and then going to PNG

I see how he could be surplus to us, he doesn't change our team much.

But it just looks so bad, and to give another club a cheap leg up yet again is frustrating.

This club is so frustrating.
One step forward with all the recent re-signings. And now two steps back.

Yeah, no club is paying $1.2.... unless it's Perth.

This is an absolute shit show and really doesn’t reflect favourably on anyone.

I can see this dragging out and getting nasty.
Have to disagree, the forum consensus is overwhelmingly that we are not getting a good return for our outlay. The club has weighed it up and now , in your opinion, it’s a shit show. I say, good work !
Surely better to sacrifice Luai, bring Latu and Makasini through and thrown in Averillo, we start to see some future shape.
And Douehi deserves an upgrade, what’s he on 375’? He’s done a lot more than Luai on the field.

Regardless of whether you think Luai was good for the club or should be released early, the club has handled this situation so poorly.

Good clubs don’t let things like this distract them from winning games. But as soon as there’s tension or adversity at the Wests Tigers the joint implodes. It speaks to a rotten, toxic culture at the club.

The club has completely let it derail the season, failed to resolve simmering tensions and re-focus on winning football games and now all this shit is playing out in the media.

Yet another contract circus involving the Wests Tigers.

See ya champ. You've been terrible. Horrible return for the money. Won't be missed, Brooks was better in the red zone. Shocking. Has to be up there with Sam Harris as the one of the worst signings for the club.

Yeah there would be too much upheaval with family etc for just one year and then having to move again the year after. He’d want to stick in Sydney I’m sure. Maybe he can team up with his buddy Galvin at the Dogs! 😂
