I’ll take a career first graders opinion over fans observations. At the start of the season Cooper Cronk predicted Jarome would struggle at halfback unless our pack would allow him to play on the front foot.
Go through all our games and look to see which ones he was most effective in and correlate that to the impact of the pack. The second Newcastle game is the best example of how different we look behind a dominant pack (coincidentally the knights fielded their most inexperienced pack in that game). Luai would have had a field day against the Roosters where once again the Roosters pack was decimated by Origin.
You want the best of your halves get your forwards dominating.

But when the tigers haven't played with our preferred spine for the past 8 games, no one gives any leeway for that..

Lets face it, we were hoping for more and his on field numbers are very average but he should be given a little leeway because of the team he plays with.

However, he doesn't look threatening even when he's on a 'good' spot, praying things change

I can honestly say, I’ve only had one holy shit moment with him this season and that’s when he almost won the game with his line break against the Titans. He’s been kind of meh apart from that. But he has average players around him and is poorly coached. As good as he might be, he still needs something to work with. He just can’t come in and magically turn chicken shit into chicken salad.

A few have used that as an excuse these past weeks … we played the Warriors with half their spine out, and instead people didn’t mention that and said after the game when they belted us that how could we expect to win as they were a Top 4 team ? Since then they have got our of jail on the bell against Newcastle and lost to the Titans

Agreed, will judge him at the end of next season. We certainly need more output from him on the field.

Not sure what the small things are, but he was better today.
I wouldn’t hang my hat on that particular play though. That execution wasn’t good. Ball was blatantly forward.
