OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

Jerome has come out and stated he’s happy to stay as long as the club do the right thing by him and his family ???
What is he talking about, he’s being paid 1.25 million dollars per season, is that not doing the right thing by him and his family ?
Yes Vicious, what exactly is he talking about? Has he not seen the club’s family first policy in action? Or was it a ruse to attract Samoans? Why is it necessary for the captain to call out the club on this particular behavioural policy?

Luai was stated as saying ,if he took up any option (worded) it will be a 3 year deal , imo him n kerosene will not be value for money then
He didnt control the side in the 2nd half of the year , like he did when Cleary was busted a few years ago
Think he is in for the long haul though, Can lead a Tiger to water but can't make it drink .
He needs to step up himself and take the rest of em with him , thats what his payed for
It's his first season and he hasn't got anything near what he had at Penrith to work with. Imo he will be back to his best in 2 years, the team is still off the pace and developing, one more year for the guys to adjust their game and I think in 2 seasons Luai will be back to what we all remember.

He was probably good for us off the field now the way he played on it, I doubt anyone is offering him 1.2m like ours. He will be here for 5 years whether we like it or not
In 2027 we will probably view that 1.2m as unders for him, partly related to improvement in his game, however I'm also guessing the market for players in general will be much higher with new teams in the comp and a new media deal.

Played well for Samoa. His long kicking game was really good. I didn't see him do that for us this year. Everything was high and landing around the 10m mark. Almost set up the potential winning play twice. On one occasion his outside players weren't backing up on his outside.

Good signs ahead. Although that Samoan team is stacked. He would have Alex Seyfarth and Tony Sukkar running on his outside here. Not quite Nanai and Sua - two origin reps.

Faaark what a forward pack for Samoa:
Josh Papalii, Jazz Tevaga, Payne Haas, Jeremiah Nanai, Jaydn S'ua and Junior Paulo.

Just Yikes!

Hass is the 2020's version of Woods.
Does plenty of Quality work but doesn't scare anyone.

If we could sign any prop in the game to the Club, Haas wouldn't be my first choice.
Fisher Harris and Tapine are up top, Hass would be toward the back of the next few.
yeah he's not the enforcing type. just goes about his business with cyborg-like accuracy.

no one could ever pass up Payne Haas if the opportunity would arise, but I would be looking for an enforcer type front rower to complement Terrell, similar to what you're thinking.

Trouble is the top end enforcers are as rare as blood diamonds and cost a fortune.

Is there anyone coming through the juniors that's showing that heady potential, oh wait maybe don't answer that to avoid disappointment.

The guy is literally gonna go down as one of the best props of all time & you're comparing him to Aaron Woods 🤣
