OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

Jerry produces shit all for the money he is on and for the size of the blokes 4 ring ego earned purely off the back of Cleary his entire career.

Did sweet FA for the Tigers this year.

Couldnt have scored against an under 8 team most games he played this year. Clueless in attack.

End of story.
I have posted previously that Luke Brooks would have been far better value.

Luai, I hear you guys we all expected more from him this season but will give him another off season to blend with the team better.

The halves disruption didn't help and slotting into a new team is obviously taking longer than any of us wanted.
But if he's the quality player we hope he is, next season is a must deliver.

All the critics I've noticed of Luai are comparing his contract value to his on-field delivery this season. It's getting a bit tiresome.

Ponder this ...

If we didn't sign Luai, who were going to sign to reset our squad towards a successful future?

What about the impact that Luai has had on our playing roster as a culture leader? Every single WT player I have heard interviewed about him has commented how he has almost single-handedly changed the culture of the playing group!

What about the impact that Luai has had on the marketing of our club & even the culture of our staff with his personality and leadership?

Ok so Luai hasn't been a match-winner or broken a game open this season, just remember it's the 1st season he's played with most of our players & in our system disrupted by a major mid-season issue.

Let's see how he grows with this team and plays off the back of an improved forward pack and with his combo with Samuela & Taylan on the left.

We're a bitter & twisted fanbase and rightly so but give the guy a break, he's done more for this club in 12 months than 99% of players in our club over the past decade.

Right on B right on.

Couldn’t agree more. Anyone who says he’s not worth the money or they wouldn’t be disappointed if he left has no idea what’s going on.

Everything you have said is true. I'm happy we've signed him. I liked him before he was a Tiger and I still like him. I said at the time that he could not possibly perform to his price point but is potentially the circuit breaker the club needed with regards to building something here. It's early days but I think thus far I've been pretty spot on with the assessment. Hopefully he steps up further next year, exceeds my expectations, and becomes a marquee guy on the field as well as off of it.

But that does not mean he can't be criticised for his performances both here and for Samoa. Or that we should be blowing smoke up his ass for getting the bare minimum right in a game. I think there are as many, or more, on here guilty of over praising him as there are critiquing him.
Evidence of this, he was fine yesterday, he did his job. But, I've seen him labelled everything from great, to world class, and the difference between the two sides.

When you talk about Haas being robotic then Terrell must also be included, whilst his output is significant he still lacks a true tackle breaking toughness and a scare factor. Hopefully he works on that for 26+.
Look, fair call except Terrell is carrying our team.

I will like to see KPP and Bunty hit it out because Terrell is doing WAY too much work.
Haas has a few other players at Brisvegas who can take the load, so fewer excuses. But hey it's Madge, he will be told to be a robot and do the same plan, week in week out.

I reckon Madge managed his workrate pretty well in 2025 ......apart from the one semi he played 80 minutes lol

Yeah, what would Madge know?
