Yea, but this road feels like a kid who has been promissed Ice-Cream but instead gets sugar Free Frogurt again...

When you have a girl break your heart for 4-5 years straight. Yep that's a kick in the guts hard.

I love the Tigers, but it's really becoming a dull ache now. No one on this forum will expect us to "make the 8" for instance.

Agreed and I can't believe we are compairing Blocker to Willie Mason.

Blocker hams it on a fair bit. Like Tommy R did, they know it's "entertainment" and they get it.

Willie Mason, he and Ben Hannant are the Genuine articles.

I could just imagine Willie Mason working an Ice Cream store with very clear instructions.

Rule 1. "Keep cold things in cold area".

Rule 2. "take money from customer".

Rule 3. "give Icecream to customer".

Rule 4. "If cops come, you forgot rule 3. Remember to give Icecream after customer pays".

Rule 5. "if your feet are wet, you did not follow rule 1!"


Sure Farah would run a restaurant. He would serve a Rockett based pizza and it would probably be bland, but it would be hot and Farah would put effort behind it. Mason, he is likely to accidently drive to the wrong training ground and not notice.

I reckon Blocker’s commentary has improved in the last few years, he used to say some really dinosaur stuff and blatantly incorrect stuff but he’s more refined now, they may have given him some extra media training.

I don’t get that vibe from him. I think he’s a moron, but I don’t get dumb vibes from him, A guy like Aaron Woods on the other hand, what you described seems more up his alley. If brains were petrol, he couldn’t perpetuate a flea’s motorcycle around a raindrop.

NRL doesn’t allow that anymore. He’s coming to Wests Tigers as advertised.

Blocker is not the worst, imo.
What you see is what you get.

Besides, he's a face to take us back to a time when footy was footy, no bunker just footy!

There is a new system in place where the NRL is informed that a player is willing to accept an offer, the current club has a 10 day period to negotiate with the player to retain him. At the end of the 10 days the player is free to choose either club.

With Brandys open statement saying they will not release Luai for 2024,

We will have;
7 Sezar / Sullivan
6 Sullivan / Fainu
For 2024

And hopefully
7 Luai
6 Sullivan / Fainu
For 2025 onwards

Forward thinking & planning, signing a good mentor for the young lads for 2024.

I think it could be used by player managers to force the hand of the current club, but hopefully a better system.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if that is where the situation with Luai currently stands. The Wests Tigers have made an offer that Luai has indicated he is happy to accept and the NRL has been told, we could be in the 10 day period where Panther are allowed to negotiate to retain him. Pure speculation on my part though.

That’s what I said a couple days ago. Cause he said he’d let his teammates know by 8/12 at the same time we made the official offer. So I thought the only reason to delay in telling his teammates would be if he had to.
