OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

Not satire at all, didnt they fall into a heap in the first half of last year after Luai moved on? go watch the game where they got bundled out in the finals, it was all due to not having an attacking option other than Cleary and him getting shut down. Watch the game against the dogs last week and Blaize shit the bed in defence and they pretty much ignored him in attack as he is not much of a threat, so they only concentrate on shutting Cleary down. Most of the attack on their left comes from Casey Mclean, and Ice, blaize is usually a passenger. Blaize is nowhere near an attacking threat and still a massive defensive liability. Almost everyone on this thread has called your crap takes out, yet as long as you believe them I guess they are true.
I'm not talking about what happened last year I'm talking about this year. Yeah Penrith went backwards when Luai left but then they had an exceptional second half of the year with Talagi and they've had an exceptional start to this year with Talagi. You can't judge him on his early performances at Penrith coming into a new club and new system. He may have some flaws now but he's already better than Luai now and he's just going to keep getting better. And you could say the same that Luai is nowhere near an attacking threat, only difference is he's about to be 30 and he's on $1.2 million. Luai hasn't been even somewhat of an attacking threat for us his whole time of being here, in fact our attack went to a different level while he wasn't playing then instantly disappeared when he came back.

So being admired because he's at a club with all of his old mates makes him a good player? Played 5 grand finals with Nathan Cleary steering the ship then came to us and did nothing (they're a better side now with Talagi than they were with Luai.) Is overpaid on $1.2 million (Ivan Cleary thought he was worth no more than $700k.) Played State of Origins off the back of Cleary and sticking with what worked with Penrith (he won't be there in the future.)
Luai can tackle , it’s optional for Talagi

we need more out of him on the field .,,and what they pay him is a big part of that ..
He was rusty coming off an injury v Broncos

Rd 2 he was on fire.

He needs a halfback who knows when to give him the ball.

I have no doubt this nonsense narrative will change in the next few games.

What with the excuse making ?

He was exactly the same in the Souths game…and in many games last year

Luai in 3 Games (came off one injured)
Tries 1
TA 5
LBA 4

Both Bris and Souths employed the same tactic.

Jamming defence because we don’t have a ball playing HB.

Benji will be mad if he doesn’t address that.

Well ..in that case he better find a way to address that because it’s a copy cat league …it’s not exactly a rocket science approach from the defence

How many times are they on opposite sides of the ruck by the way ? Who is to blame then?

The answer was playing 7 when we won 3 in a row.

Not a hard one.
