OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

It’s also a little disrespectful for others to not mention that Benji has been a big factor with the culture change as well ..he is certainly the main driver now regardless that Luai is still tihere
Yeah. Benji the biggest factor, particularly as Luai signed to play for him.
Essentially, the whole club needs to be commended whether it is the leaders such as Benji and the senior players setting standards or the younger players buying in. But certainly Benji is at the forefront.

All I’m saying is every time a player wants to leave someone is quick to tell you we have a better junior coming through. If the plan is to build the club around the May’s and Fainu’s why haven’t they been extended.
Perhaps because the club needs to know how much money they are spending on Laui and Bula first to know how much they can offer the others. If both stay its likely some of the others cant

By 2028, if things keep trending as they are now, it could be argued Jerome has done his job for us. He was a culture signing. Heck, could almost be argued already. He hasnt delivered to the pay packet but sometimes a team needs a circuit breaker and shock culture change. Jerome has helped that immensely. Also helped with bringing additional recruits in.

That’s bullshit. Only recently has that actually been a concept . And it’s not people saying they’re better, you’re just hearing what you want to hear , it’s people saying they can step up and fill the void . Eventually making the role thier own .
It’s not replacement . It’s evolution . You’re completely misinterpreting what people are saying to reinforce your own bias’. And like people have said 20 times to you. Romey was leaving at the end of 29 anyway as he will be 33.

Invest it wisely? Sure, gotta be smart with your money.

But do it so your grandkids never have to work? Absolutely not! That would create really weak entitled humans that would never go through adversity.
With AI and robotics, our grandkids will either never have the need; or more likely the opportunity to earn a crust and get ahead.

Thats right and Latu will be ready with AD and Madden! Plus plenty of $$$ in the cap

People doing it for a lot less money …I know a few guys with families that have lived over there
Most people with money in south Africa live in gated communities . Any sports star in the Middle East would 💯. Where ever things are polticlsly
Fragile and they have a prospering sports economy the players will live in gated communities . I really don’t get the issue .
The real issue would be the scale
Of patrols and level security . Ie. the higher the safe base the tighter the security . It might be jarring if there’s political unrest for whatever reason and they have to up the security to say , rolling patrols from armed personal , from existing perimeter security for example .

Wtf I have no bias towards anything. We just suck at retaining players. Someone mentioned Brookes for if Bula leaves when he hasn’t even moved up to cup yet.

The NRL team in Moresby will have Australian security …likely AFP as well… they are a potential political target for terrorists in a country with a leaky land border with Indonesia …
