OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

Javon is a good runner and solid and in my opinion is a 6 not a 7
Have not even touched the sides with Andrews yet experience wise he has a hell of a lot.of upside.
I think the club will not be able to keep both, unfortunately Andrews misses out to keep bother happy.
I am not overly enthused by what latu has shown at present and is injured alot.
If Latu gets a good run next year with injuries it might change my opinion.
I would like to see Andrws get some nrl time

Id start both next year as our halves. There would be some ups and downs but overall I reckon the kids would thrive.

You really think that is how his peers see it - the players we need to improve this club?
More likely it just reinforced why we are transition lounge.
Dunno, its what I think though. Jerome wasn't even in the conversation for state of origin, doesn't that say something?🤏

Just a heads up that Rob Bechara is on the Wests Tigers life pod at 8.40 if you think he might have some inside news about Luai… apparently it’s a special discussion on the news of him leaving today
He only knows Lebanese people around the game...amazing how a mortgage broker from Five Dock has made people believe he is a media personality.

I saw him walk on the field at leichardt last match then walk up into the stands.. I still don't understand what the point of that was

Anyone with a camera can be a personality these days

There's a public spat now on insta between a guy called spanian and some people of a certain religion. I can see it escalating into something far more serious

There’s one guy who comes out of all these dramas looking like a million bucks, and that’s Api. Given the way he’s carried this team the last 3 years, the blood, sweat and tears he has expended, if there was one player you could excuse for saying “F this. I’m out,” it’s him. Maybe he’s a masochist. Poor bastard.
I reckon Doueihi is the one who comes out of this looking good.
Has grown into a leader and is the true on field general in this squad despite the fact others wear that tag, he shown greater consistency over the past 18 months than the more fancied “stars” and is an actual threat in attack …often our only one.

I’m sure they believe, but you can’t tell me there isn’t a performative aspect when they all do it in the middle of the field.
Having travelled throughout the Pacific Islands extensively I can tell you that most of these guys are brought up to be thankful to God for everything. The missionaries did a very good job in turning these people into God fearing individuals and it’s stuck over time. God and family are everything !
Therefore, to answer your question I don’t think it has anything to do with a performance. They simply are giving thanks along with their island brothers.
If you look closely in the dressing rooms pre game you will see many of them on their knees praying individually before the game, it’s a Pacific thing although if you watch the Lebanese ( Douehi / Twal) you will also see them crossing themselves and looking to the heavens before à game. Or whenever Douehi scores.
Most of us just don’t have that faith and belief.

Someone mentioned earlier that he wouldn’t play tomorrow night.
Elsewhere it says he’s a definite starter, and who knows what might happen !!
À “Gold Coast” repeat hat trick would be bloody great, and attract some buyers.
Actually , just a win at CSS against a big scalp would be enough for me !
