I've met choc and it's just as you say Demps... Totally opposite the trash talker we saw in lead ups
Yeah man. That's it...

He was at the No Limit card a few weeks ago and literally stopped with at least 100 people to chat and get a photo.

Man of the people, straight up.

I've crossed paths with him many times, in professional and personal levels and can't speak highly enough of the guy.

The old saying, he'd give you the shirt off his back... I've watched Choc give his shirt to a young fella at one of the youth programs I was involved with that he attended.

FTR, I never said anything about SBW’s manhood. He might help old ladies cross the road for all I know. What I do know is that as a player, he was a mercenary who went to the highest bidder, be it in league or union. I think actual accomplishments meant very little to him as long as he got paid good money. Hence why i don’t think his World Cup medal was of much value to him. It’s not even a criticism. It’s just who he seems to be. He made a kid happy, so at least some good come of it.

On Mundine, I’ve always liked him. I met him at a cafe on the Gold Coast when I was 16. He wrote a message to me on a napkin “You’re the man, but im the king”. Good dude.

Nothing wrong with Luai’s ego, better to be over confident than not confident enough.
He’s a much better than average footballer who has the individual brilliance to create something out of nothing and the confidence our other players would gain out of playing alongside a 3 time premiership winner would be invaluable.
The concerns are he has never shown any inkling of being a dominant game controlling halve with an astute kicking game, therefore how does he fit the description of a million dollar per season player ?
In addition to that we have Latu Fainu and Lachlan Galvin who both naturally play on the left the same as Luai. Would signing Luai potentially freeze them both out and not give them the opportunity to play regularly and potentially become stars of the NRL while playing with Wests Tigers ?
It’s a near guarantee that Luai would be the much superior better option for 2024 and likely 2025, but I do fear either or both of Latu Fainu or Lachlan Galvin may become impatient, depart us and become superstars of the NRL at rival clubs should we not give them the opportunity with us.
The last thing the club needs right now is to lose more players who go on to become stars of the game such as Tedesco and Moses.

Fainu and Galvin are only 18. Way too early to talk about them getting restless for an opportunity.

Both ours for another 4 & 3 years respectively.
Things might change - but they're our boys.
Media are vultures, I can't stand NRL media

Galvin playing with his HS and rep mates.
Fainu with his brothers. Let the boys enjoy
And neither may never amount to anything, meaning all this talk and stress is all for naught.
