Geeze you’d have to think that if the dogs are $500-700 behind us - it’s not gonna take much for laundy to throw in another $50k per year.

If they are like $300k behind us over 5 yrs I reckon he signs for the dogs.

After tax, agents fees etc - it’s like $25k per year to play with his mates for 5 yrs!

Hope I’m wrong but everyone underestimating the dogs right now are craaaaazy.

If they really want him they’ll find a way for sure.

If you read Teddy’s post, I think the bond he seems to forming with Benji (his childhood idol) will Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon playing with his mates. He’s not moving to North Korea. He‘ll still see his mates on the regular the same way he always has.

How much of Luai's offer of $1.2m is off the cap and how much is TPA. It's an important question. People are saying $1.2m is overs. Perhaps it is but, if some of that is TPA, then maybe it's not.

There are some logical fallacies at play here.

In 2024 we have Sezer, Sullivan, Doueihi, Fainu and Galvin. Using your number that a "club needs 4 halves at a cost of around $2.7m" then we would have 5 halves for 2024 on less than that number. So by your own opinion, that would mean we have value for money.

Both Cezer and Doueihi are not contracted for 2025. Assuming we sign Luai on $1.2M, and the three youngens are all on $500k each (Galvin isn't but just for argument's sake), that would add up to exactly $2.7M, which was the number you suggested. So by your own definition that would be the perfect balance.

Sorry to be a pedant, but it's good to deal with reality and not let cognitive dissonance undermine an argument.

Opinion on Blocker as a pundit is fair game.

But he is absolutely a “club legend”.
To deny that is to ignore both clubs history. WT are not a brand new club, we aren’t the Cowboys or Crushers, we are borne from two foundation clubs and that will always be our history.

IMO any Wests/Balmain legend is, by virtue of the merger, a club legend, and that legacy should never be disregarded, least of all by our own fans.

And, may I add, Blocker was arguably the most revered, dynamic prop of his era. So yes, while Webcke and Lazarus are absolutely modern legends, Blocker’s unique style and skill level put him squarely in the conversation with the great modern day props.

Considering the Dogs offer was 5.5, I have a feeling money probably wasn’t too much of a factor in deciding between the two. They‘re almost identical. Different if he was going to make millions more, but half a mil, I doubt it.

BUT you are underestimating an agent playing us off to get him the best deal TO get the dogs UP.

They know we’re the most desperate

So they get the lost from us and then see if the dogs can get close
