Idk Gus is a shrewd and ruthless operator, if the cone of silence is key to snaring Luai, then he will do whatever is needed to get his man…

I just want to counter this and say I personally don't care when the deal gets done. No footy for another 8 weeks, it makes zero difference if he signs today or Feb 28, if he's not being released for 2024.

The fuss in this forum only reflects the inability of some supporters to be patient. The player himself is probably still enjoying his Xmas and New Year's.

Do you know what the give away was that the Dogs were out of the race? His pic in the Chinese restaurant. He knew what he was doing in posting that. It was a wink to Luai. He never would have posted that if he was knee deep in negotiations. The Dogs are not a threat. I really wish some of you would stop buying into the myth that is Gus and his svengali like influence.

Luai is such a lair and loves the limelight he will pick the time with the best media coverage to announce.

On the contrary it's 1.2 million of our salary cap that we can't put towards other new signings, extensions etc. it's just useful to know where that money is allocated, and if it's secured then great, if not it's money needed for other players. Either way we need to know soonish.
It's apparently all agreed, so shouldn't be more hold ups now that everything is open for business again

That's right. It's also stating the bleeding obvious that we are impatient. Why wouldn't we be after all we have been through as supporters of thus club.
