>
Parramatta superstar Jarryd Hayne has finalised a new four-year deal with the NRL club.
>
The 21-year-old will sign the contract on Thursday evening at a shopping centre appearance at Rouse Hill in Sydney's west.
>
The hottest property in rugby league, Hayne's contract negotiations have dragged on for several months during which speculation mounted he was being targeted by the AFL's new western Sydney franchise.
>
Reports said Team GWS were prepared to offer the Dally M player of the year $1 million a year to switch codes.
>
Hayne was off-contract with the Eels in 2011 but the new deal, reportedly worth $500,000 a year plus third party deals, will tie him to Parramatta until the end of 2014.

Great news for Parramatta, Hayne and the NRL.

Hayne has certainly done well for himself with that deal. Very nice coin considering he's still only 21.

He played a few months of brilliant football and gets rewarded with big money over a long period.

It is a mistake considering his trend of going missing in games for no reason at times.

But it would add to the marketability of the Eels short term as he is the Telecraps golden child

I'm happy for him to get paid that sort of money. The more they pay him, the less they have available to pay everyone else.
