Jason Cayless

I wouldn't be looking at Cayless. There would surely be better up and coming props in the UK if we're looking at getting an overseas player over to the Tigers.

poor player, never done anything at saints and has been injured all season, why do you think they wont give him a new contract

Cheers mate….No from me

Speaking of Props then forget Burgess, Graham and Crabtree....What other Props over their would look good in a Wests jumper.....How about you scout for us......any up and coming ones would be great....

While where on seasoned Props......How's Stuart Fielden going these days.....thought he was a gun a few years back...

well in super league there are some good props, from my point of view

griffin from giants
Jamal Fakir cats dragons
Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook quins (is very highly rated)
kyle amor whitehave (signed for leeds very good young player one to watch without doubt)
paul clough saints (second row)
Lee Mossop wigan (very big and strong prop, was on loan at the giants and was a fantastic player, would suit the nrl game)
Joe Westerman castleford (lose forward, however young player of the year in 2008 and has alot of potential, again big and strong and very fast plus not a bad goal kicker, he could be one to watch for england in a few years)

Fielden has never been the same after the mason punch, lack of confidence just very average.

Was the games best prop a few years ago and props don't lose that. Civoniceva and Price seem to be playing great so age shouldn't be an issue.

if he wants to come back, he will be willing to take a huge pay-cut so i think we should take advantage of that n get him for nothing if we can.

tiger faithful. I have contacts in the inner circle and jason cayless has been signed by the tigers. take it as gospel. lote is a chance but my contact believes the roosters will be hard to compete as they are willing to throw any amounts of cash legit and illegit at him

Sure you do, buddy.

Did your contacts in the inner circle tell you the tigers are offering Tuquri nearly 4 times what the Roosters are?

We don't need props. We need stability in the halves and backline, which is what Tuquir at FB and Moltzen at HB offers.

We don't need props. .

You must be watching a different game to me then.

Im with you Hybrid.

We have used 3 props all year, and one of them was Skando.

I dont consider Payten a prop, the only thing about him that is prop like, is his size and thats it.

We need a prop that just does the hard yards, who does what he is meant to do, not be like Payten and be skillful, not be a tackling machine, but a guy that gets honest hard yards that can ease the workload on Galloway, he doesnt have to be like a Hannant, Price or Petro. Just an honest, no thrills player that digs in, can get us over the advantage line and get us going forward.

We really only have two props of NRL standard. Gibbs & Galloway.

We persist in playing a different game to all the others, and are consistent in missing the semis.

Plenty of people get blinded by some flashy wins late in the season, they forget all the games we loose year in and year out because we dont have the depth and quality up front. Okay if we can roll our top 17 week in and week out we are hard to beat, but soon as one prop goes over we are shot

Look we dont need Props….as Ink said we got 2......fullbacks, wingers, centre's, halves, second rowers and a back up rake would be handy.....recruitment is out there doing it's best to cover these vital positions.....

Injured Cayless quits St Helens

September 21, 2009 - 8:30AM

Former New Zealand international Jason Cayless has prematurely ended his contract with English Super League giants St Helens after failing to recover from a shoulder injury.

Cayless, 29, made 83 appearances for the club but hasn't played since April.

Having joined Saints on a four-year deal in 2005, the prop will move back to Australia rather than see out the remainder of the season.

He was a member of Saints' Challenge Cup-winning teams in 2006 and 2007 and was also a Super League grand final winner in 2006.

"It has been a tragedy for him and a disappointment for us that injury has blighted his last two seasons at the club," chairman Eamonn McManus told the BBC.

what sort of shoulder injury did he have?
if he does come to wests-tigers I hope he plays more first grade than, Sam Harris and Ryan O'Hara did.
