I have contacts in the inner circle and jason cayless has been signed by the tigers. take it as gospel. lote is a chance but my contact believes the roosters will be hard to compete as they are willing to throw any amounts of cash legit and illegit at him
Sure you do, buddy.
Did your contacts in the inner circle tell you the tigers are offering Tuquri nearly 4 times what the Roosters are?
@tigerdre said:Jason Cayless would be handy but all the reports ive read have said that he has never recoverd from a shoulder injury.
Do we want another injured player??
If we buy him for 500bucks like we did Toupou,no problem but i would be weary buying a prop with dodgy shoulders for decent coin
@TimmyB said:I'd be more than willing to take a punt on Cayless, provided we don't have to pay an exorbitant price.
He with Fitzgibbon, lead of a pack of solid but generally unspectacular forwards to three grand final appearances. From memory the pack consisted of himself, Fitzgibbon, Catic, Bonetti/Wing, Cusack, Robinson, Flannery, Crocker and Ricketson. Obviously there's some good players there, but I would only consider Crocker and Fitzgibbon as elite. Cayless was a big, big part of their success.
An upside of the shoulder injury (assuming it heals) is that the rest of his body and his mind will be reasonably fresh. As a front rower, he's potentially got some valuable years left in him. Definitely worth a punt imo.

Adrian Morley was also part of that pack, and he was pretty much the leader of it.
@TimmyB said:Of course, pretty horrendous mistake there.
I'd still have Cayless and Fitzgibbon as the leaders in terms of making metres.
@hybrid_tiger said:We are competing with Penrith for his signature, according to the paper today.
We will most likely lose out - when is the last time we've signed a player who other clubs were also trying to sign?
