The one key stat is that Farah played for Australia and JT didnt. Thats why JT didnt like him from the start lol.

Here's a fun fact, only 5 current coaches actually played for Australia and you can actually discount Bennett (only played a tour match) and Green (Super league).

I don't believe Farah made that comment to Taylor, but just imagine if he said it to Bennett, Bellamy, Henry, Robinson and….Maguire?

It's a perfect comeback and completely true. A bit like
Steve Walters asking Elias during a SOO game
"what are you doing on the weekend, I've got a Test to play"

And Robbie wouldn't have had to tell the other coaches that, as they are real Coaches,
Not a shadow of one

Yes, Robinsob and Maguire sure are real coaches. Where did they both finish on the ladder this season? Brilliant.

Then why does JT like Aaron Woods ?

Or Lawrence?
Nice work.

Wow, if you both took that comment as anything but tongue in cheek then you have an iq of a 5 year old child.

That is the easy way out when you get caught out. Oh! it was tongue in cheek. BS

You lose.

Turnbull was a blusterer the first time and more so the second time - a flat balloon he is. Now on topic, Robbie's career impresses me more, I remember Taylor playing for maggies, good for sure but not brilliant. It was the goal kicking he was famous for. Farah carried the true Tiger colours when he reciprocated to Antony Watts.

If you think JT was only famous for goal kicking - you were smoking dope and not watching games at that time. Talking about his Wests career is like talking about Thurston's Bulldog career.

JT was a very astute half - always thinking, real good kicking game and a good defender. Not the fastest but made up for that by out thinking the opposition. Tough as teak and hardly ever missed a game. His goal kicking to my mind was a bonus - and he was brilliant at that.

Don't talk to me about playing for Australia - some of our greatest players never played for our country. Methinks Farah would not have played for Australia either if Sheens wasn't the coach.

Don't let your love for Farah or hatred for JT - get in the way of intelligent comment BBF.

This is a stupid thread that should be closed down anyway.

Get cAught out, why was i hiding lol. I think i make my opinion loud and clear. So im definitly not scared to express my opinion for fear of being set on by JT boy club.

Oh yes and your right it wasnt about the money , the real reason JT wanted to move Farah on was because Farah played for Australia lol lol lol. Welcome to the 5 year old iq club, i think there is 6 of you in here now.
:crazy :crazy :crazy

2013 premiers= roosters, coached by a certain robinson
2014 premiers= rabbitohs, coached by a certain mcguire.

Real coaches who win premierships and take their teams to semis on a regular basis. They missed a year and their no longer good coaches. Maybe JT can give them some tips.

I think Robinson and Maguire are good coaches, but really, you have to compare the rosters.

Put SBW in our team and we would finish top 4 this season. Simple.

Taylor was unwanted in much the same way, but managed to adapt, do what was required and played his last game in a grand final.

Will we say the same of Farah?

Haha nice comparison! If I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure Robinsob had a team in 2013 that was made up of 17 players who had played representative football. FMD if you cannot get a premiership as a coach with that sort of roster then you never will, most coaches would of got that team over the line. How good did he go this year with a pretty decent roster that had a few injuries, very bloody average.
Souths had a bloody decent team full of stars (and an expenditure on team roster that one can safely assume was full of Rusty Crowe's brown paper bag handouts), again, you have to do well to win a premiership regardless but compare their roster with ours that JT has been coaching. No comparison is valid IMO. Chalk and cheese.

Robinson & Potter started coaching NRL first grade in the same season .
One was given a team of rep players to coach & got accolades for winning a comp .
The other given a basket case & only lasted 2 years .

Now with a lesser ( but still good ) roster to coach , the dally m coach of the year in 2013 isn't as good as he seemed .
Would he have gone better than Potter did at the WTs ? I doubt it .

Agree with you 100%.
JT was tough as they come and was far from average.
No matter how many hits he copped when kicking he would just get back up.
There was no protecting the kicker rules back then.

Wouldn't a player with those attributes be handy for Wests right now…

The spend most of the time at the pointy end of the comp.
and will be nearer to it than us next season.

I expected both Souths and the Roosters to be higher up, , but I was wrong, I just don't think that they will hang around there for long, their clubs dont accept failure to well.
And both Coaches won't be letting it go on for too long
Souths should be better, I hear they've picked up a top line Hooker for next week, Cheap too.

Souths don't accept failure? Except between 1990 and 2011 when they picked up half a dozen wooden spoons

A top line hooker won't do them much good for next week, they'll be holidaying in the Maldives by then goldcoasttiger.
Souths don't accept mediocrity you reckon? Overall they've been the most pitiful team of the last 15 years just about. Jagged a NRL-assisted premiership once and have been bog ordinary nearly every other year in that timeframe.
There aren't too many coaches in history that have had an average roster and been successful. Robinsob and Madge have proven that this season as well, and the Roosters had a pretty decent squad this season.

Somehow i don't think that hooker will only be earning 200k in his second season. That's assuming that's what Souths are only paying the first yr
