We have a lot of problems.

I also think Esan is a pathetic player.

He is rubbish. Would get a game with Titans and maybe Dogs.

@avocadoontoast You've posted several times saying that questions should be asked of the coach. This squad is out of depth. The coach is doing his best with what he has. I mean, look at our backline and our prop rotation and you can see that this team, at it's current state, is impossible to work with. The salary cap is not in a good position either, and that is in no way linked with Madge at all. So, I don't see how questions should be asked of Madge at this point. Moreso the board and players

Do you think Jennings should be in the team? Do you think Marsters is our best GK?

Hell no and no !

He’s a shocker. How he was a top try scorer for Souths I will never know. No skills and dumb.

We only have him for 1 more year yeah?

If you look at the tries he scored for souffs most of them all he had to do was catch the ball and waddle over the try line

Let's offer Addo Carr the #1 jersey and whatever he wants money wise. Craig Wing type steal.

Try and release Esan, Jennings and who ever else we can. Sign some new blood. I'd keep Nofo cos he is one of the only guys who plays like he loves the club and Corey can play 1 for nsw cup.

1. Josh Addo Carr
2. Kane Bradley
3. Hymel Hunt
4. Mawene Hiroti
5. David Nofoluma

@hobbo1 Jennings shouldn't be in the team, but I can totally understand why Madge would sign him. Worked with him before, cheaper option (especially with our cap), part of a successful side where he enjoyed a great try-scoring season. You can't fault the judgment, however. Regarding his selection in the team, I hadn't seen anything prior to this game suggesting that Jennings should be dropped, just a bit frustrated that he doesn't get involved as much. I thought that he was good under the high-ball, strong in his runs out of our own end, etc. After this game, however, I can see that he is a liability in his defence and believe he should be dropped and I hope that we see Madge act on that. Marsters as a GK, well, when you don't have many options what can you do? I'm sure it's something that is practiced on in training, and there has to be a reason that he remains kicker. Can you name me someone else you would like to see kick our goals? Or are you just complaining with no suggestion for improvement?

Momirovski can kick goals
Mbye can kick goals
I even thought Benji would of had a shot at goal in his 300th

I have actually spoken to Marsters face to face in Regards to his goal kicking!
He obviously didn’t listen !

In regards to Jennings he’s a flop over specialist
I’m not sold yet on the coach ..
He talks the talk ( really good ) but why does he insist on Jennings and Marsters ?
You’ll have to ask him that one !

@hobbo1 Momirovski is useless. Sorry to say it, but each time he has played he has done nothing. Slow as. Not going to include him in the team just to kick goals. Mbye looks to be taking kicks now, I hope.

There you go ...
You’ve answered your own questions!

Jennings has been average all season, but today he was well below average and his poor defence and mistakes cost us the game. Although we were pretty unlucky - there were a few pretty average calls that were pretty clear in replay but were not corrected on field. The no-try decision to Thompson and the Eels scoring straight after at the other end was a 12 pt turnaround at a crucial time in the game. Add the missed goals and we have let another game slip.
It has been obvious for some time that Marsters is not an NRL standard goal kicker - perhaps Mbye needs to step up. It might raise Mbye's value as a member of the team.
Finally, we had virtually no penetration through the forwards - I don't remember 1 of our pack poking his arms or head through their line even once. Our pack needs a severe shot of mongrel, some hard running and offloading, if we are going to improve at all.
The most disappointing thing is that once again, in a game when we have lots of reasons to win and all the stars seem aligned, we cant seem to lift enough or raise our effort enough to actually win!!

@TigerSJ Yep, our forwards weren't good enough today, very disappointed with Twal especially because he is usually our most consistent. Mikaele the only forward that played well.

That’s harsh on Taylor. I thought he was exceptional

correct never blame to coach,
he doesn't kick or pass the ball he gives direction and motivates players

Jennings is not a winger, he is a centre. It's that simple.

Corey Thompson is great at 1 normally, but he is a winger.

Mbye is a 6 every day of the week.

We seem to have a lot of players in unusual positions for the sake of the team and the sake of the cap. We have little choice.

One day, things will come together. I'm as frustrated as hell, but I trust an excellent and very well credentialed and respected coach in Maguire to sort this over time. He has inherited a mess left by capt tool before him, who inherited major tools roster, who inherited another roster with no cap. I dont know why people are surprised. Things seem to be getting better gradually, even if the weekly results don't always show that.

Momoroski has not done much good and lacks speed.

BUT...he has also done nothing wrong.

Jennings is slow AND has made dozens of basic errors.

On form, Momoroski should be miles ahead of him.

Madge has done a great job so far, but this has been his biggest mistake.
