Not much to add to that great summary TW.Was a pretty average performance today really. The game never really felt close, nor should it have been based on the quality of the 2 sides. Left plenty of points out there, through goal kicks and pushing the extra pass.
Some of the best players for me were Max Taotua (who picked up a 2nd half hat trick and was strong with ball in hand), Taupau-Moors looked strong with ball in hand and got a lot more minutes today. Godinet had some great moments and showed that he has some ball playing skills on an edge too. Matai was very dangerous aswell.
Best on ground for me was Haywood though. Man he is a skilful and talented kid. Great deception and ability to know when to run and when to pass. Service is crisp.
It's possible but Raiders have the Rabbits in a couple of weeks who will be massive outsiders in that game.Parra beating the top of the table Storm has made the top 5 even more challenging to reach. I think if Raiders lose all 3 remaining games and we win all 3 that is the only way we can make it now.
Yeah I feel like it is all over for them. Will be left to rue a slow start to the year, along with the collapse in NZ.It's possible but Raiders have the Rabbits in a couple of weeks who will be massive outsiders in that game.
Their season turned around when Shane Sultana arrived..........but it was too late!Yeah I feel like it is all over for them. Will be left to rue a slow start to the year, along with the collapse in NZ.
Yep agreed.Their season turned around when Shane Sultana arrived..........but it was too late!
That frustrates me - commentators across the board who want the glory of the call but lack the research to even try and do it well.Yep agreed.
According to the commentators yesterday Latulipe was still the coach and Saukuru and Godinet's names were reversed haha. Dont think they have commentated many Tigers games.
Yep agreed. I mentally tried to tune myself out of the commentary after the first 20 minutes or so yesterday. That frustrates me - commentators across the board who want the glory of the call but lack the research to even try and do it well.
We chose Galvin, Luai and Latu so our youngsters wouldn't stay without a clear path to first grade. They all still went to other clubs where their path to football was even less clear.Good Evening
Just want people's opinions we have the following halfback players who have been solid without showing that real potential players like Iverson Matai, Marc Tannous, Max Liles, Levi Conti, have we as a club A) Failed to properly develop our halfbacks B) failed to identify the correct players to develop and sign to long term deals C) failed to bring in outside coaches to help our half's development.
The reason i just saw Alex Conti recent game management and cannot understand why we let hm go without a real plan or other players been developed behind him.
I assume Sukkar and Geyer will be our starting second row in NSW Cup next year though. Bench spot I guess?Turns 22 next year (November) so he is ineligible. That’s ok, he’s ready for Cup fulltime.
A couple of questions:Yep agreed.

Possibly...and I'm only speculating...our value to players is the ability to play NRL sooner than at other clubs. At least, it has been prior to this season. If that path is blocked, they want to move to a club that offers better development? Why are players happy to be blocked at other clubs but demand top 30 deals to stay here?
To be honest, halfs at the Tigers have a better chance of making first grade than the other clubs, how many coaches would have given Galvin a shot at half so early? I think these halfs have has their managers in their ears making out the other clubs are much greener pastures. Conti, Large and Isdale are all way down the pecking order at those other clubs. We chose Galvin, Luai and Latu so our youngsters wouldn't stay without a clear path to first grade. They all still went to other clubs where their path to football was even less clear.
We failed to recruit replacements for Conti, Large and Isdale. Why? Who knows. Did we over estimate the quality of the players we still had? Why are players happy to be blocked at other clubs but demand top 30 deals to stay here?
You can't keep them....
All the players you mentioned will never play higher than NSW cup level. Liles is decent at flegg level, but hasn't shown he has the ability to step up to higher levels. The others even less so.
The recent signing of Andrews helped re-fill the stocks, especially if he's not top 30.
Looking at our sg ball and matts squads there still appears to be no decent halves coming through, someone might kick on or enter the system though.
Probably a bit of all of the above @BellendGood Evening

Not sure on 1 only that his record this season speaks for itself. If we did a competition table since he started as coach, I bet we are in the top 3.A couple of questions:
1. I've heard a bit about Shane Sultana and he's highly rated. What do you think he offers compared to others?
2. Do you think Haywood is a better prospect than Da Silva and that's why they were happy to let him go?
