@bathursttiger Surely we have that kind of money available even without losing the big 3 salary takers. Not often a quality player comes available so I would hope we at least try and meet him to see whats going on.

@TYGA Reports said that Ramien is on $250K at Newcastle.

Manageable number I would suspect.

can we afford him?

Jessie is a young guy with plenty of talent if the tiger's are serious about being a top 8 team we need to recruit quality players like Jessie he could be anything in the right environment with a quality coach

We signed him yet..

Looked like Mbye thought we did..

Another 48 hours...

I wonder what Curtis Scott is doing?

Link is not working but according to article the Storm are chasing Ramien and the Dragons may want to release K. Sims, LL and Jacob Host.

Mbye said the same thing about rona and skd.....

I doubt we'll get Ramien given the competition but hopefully Melbourne do and we can go after Curtis Scott.

@pawsandclaws1

Would you want any of those Dragons' players? LL has the stink of his brother, talented as they both are, over his head. He's the only one I'd want although quite a similar maturity issue to Ramien I reckon. Scott is a heck of a player.

@Nelson I wonder how many of the players Melbourne want they actually get. And if they do get them, is it due to money or culture? Coaches can be really overrated but I reckon Bellamy is proof that a good coach can be a considerable factor in recruitment.

If Michael Carayannis is correct with what he's saying... The only club that has money in the cap to sign him is the dogs. Everyone else will need to move on players to fit him in

@WT2K Tbf the swap deal with Reynolds that someone suggested previously makes a lot of sense and would benefit both clubs other than possibly the $$$

He is unable to play for any other Club until 2020 so I doubt every other Club have finalised their Cap for then..

Well he is way off the mark .... for starters we are talking next year and every club has or will have space to sign players.

Curtis Scott has a foot injury and is unlikely to return play this season.

For young players yeah I think the coaching and systems they have in place down there would be very appealing so long as the player has their head screwed on right. It'd be a good place to learn the trade of being a professional footballer if that's what you want to do (rather than just try to coast on talent and take the easiest roads...)

Jesse Ramien punted from Knights after teammates' complaints
By The Mole 4 hours ago

I wrote way back in April that the 'marriage' between Ramien and the Knights was set to end in tears - and was promptly slammed by Ramien, Brown and the local Newcastle media. But sources in the club told me back then that the relationship was toxic and headed for disaster.

Over the past few days, media sources have speculated that Brown kicked Ramien out the door - and they are largely correct. But Brown only took the drastic step after the senior players group came to him complaining about Ramien. The players said they no longer wanted to play alongside Ramien, who was whingeing about not getting enough football and that he deserved more money, while he was often late for training.

"He was just a negative influence in the place," a senior Knights source told Wide World of Sports. "It was a big call by Brownie but the senior players left him in no doubt that it was the right one."

Its what happens when a young talent gets a big ego
