I would have thought a “boss” might have actually been at the ground, leading and doing “boss” things?

If he's done his "boss" job properly, he's not supposed to have to stand over the top of everyone and micro-manage on game day.

I'm just catching up with the latest from the WT website and I noticed Jock Madden was the special guest of Justin Pascoe in "Ask the Boss" to announce his contract extension. Good on him. I hope it turns out well for both Jock and the club.

My regular meeting place for pre-LO games is the Orange Grove Hotel, a short walk from Mary St and the entrance to LO.

I was a bit surprised to see Justin Pascoe there having some beers at 1.40pm on Sunday (prior to the Manly NRL Trial) when games at LO had been going since 9.45am?

I would have thought a "boss" might have actually been at the ground, leading and doing "boss" things?

Sure, maybe he had been at LO for hours and just left for a quenching ale and lunch at the Orange Grove pub?

Entirely feasible. Appropriate? That's another thing

Or with sponsors, or corporate guests....or any reason. Keep grinding.

I know I’m outraged ... how about you ?

Im beside myself, and we are BOTH outraged.....and so is my wife.

I'm pretty sure Justin does more than his fare share of hours on the clock.

I was there as well, he was having lunch with his son. Justin puts in big hours at the club.

His job isn’t match day unless its sponsors & its a trial. Do you expect him to clean the Morrison toilets or something?

I actually said to the person I was sitting with that we went through the entire preseason and forgot to organise who would take out the kicking tee. It happened again on the kickoff after Manly's 1st try. Hartigan nearly had to run it out that time.

Why not appropriate? I was actually in the pub when Justin came in to have lunch with his son. He said gday to me, introduced himself to some other supporters, spoke with Wayne Cousins (ex employee) for a while then had lunch with friends/sponsors/corporates. Was doing the ‘boss thing’ pretty well in fact. 45 minutes later he was down on the field talking with players, coaching staff, media people. Doing the ‘boss thing’ again. The bloke is not above rebuke but seriously - having a go because he’s having lunch is in my opinion pretty pathetic and small minded

Yeah, walked straight up to me said hello and introduced himself to my wife who hasn't met him previously.

It was actually a good time to be at the pub with Cuzzo there as well. I hadn't spoken to him since he left the club, I always got on pretty well with Wayne so it was good to catch up. Still supports the Wests Tigers despite working for Manly which I though was unusual.
