Joe Ofahengaue #240

JTJ will outplay all the other centres , if he trains hard, and is switches on .He’s just better than them . We are talking about one of the best centres in the game who has gone wayward recently . And I think Joey will put in this offseason . He would have seen what an offseason here did to his brother , and he’d have to want that for himself . Or he’s kidding himself . Everyone forgets he didn’t have an offseason here , and turned up 15kgs over weight at Canberra . Sure he has to be accountable for that , but we all know hard it is to put in for a job and a place that don’t want you. They are our best 2 centres , regardless how you feel about the kids being held back . Joey is a left centre by the way . I’m not sure why he’s been playing on the right.

BJ looked good in that picture someone posted the other day

Must mean he’s staying at Brisbane now. Now we gotta figure out who else he’s following 😂

Did he start following the tigers? They said it’s between us and the dragons to get him.

LOL

I reckon you'll see a fair few players now take the mickey out of the fans by following & then unfollowing random clubs on social media.

Tis what I would do:joy: :joy: :joy:

I’ve spoken to someone close to him. He’s unfollowing every NRL page as he’s sick of seeing footy stuff. He has intentions to come WT and has agreed to terms I believe

Josh who??

I'm almost ready to let the sook walk if we can use his money or squad spot to improve our roster.

They can’t let the sook go, because it will be 2 years running where the club has talked tough in media (matto and now JA) and they will not have backed it up.
JA needs to be banished to CC or player swap with manly

I think you have a valid point and like to see the club more hard lined but after a re-think i tend to agree why have that much sitting in reserve grade not playing when we already have $ tied up with Packer/Reynolds.

If we can sign a proven origin star like Joe O instead i would rather do the deal with Manly and off load him.
We are weeding out someone that does not want to play for us.
I would also not be dealing with his management again in any player negotiations.

I am sure I read he is on around $500k at Broncs. Not sure they would throw more than $150k at moving him on given their ambitions to sign Asiata and a tight cap of their own.

That’s why dragons didn’t sign him apparently broncos weren’t going to throw heaps in for him. I agree don’t think they’d throw more than $100k-$150k in.

Well we were offering JA $450k (supposedly) so we seem to not be losing anything and possibly gaining a better player?

It’ll be closer to $400k I feel. Still not bad if he plays to his best

Yeah getting Joe O for $400k isn’t bad as long as he gets back to his best

That’s why coaches get paid so much money to get that happening.

We should jump at the option of JO coming to us for $400k - $450k for next year and we can up the amount in 2022. He is the missing piece whereby we have someone who can bend the line, I think Musgrove will be better as he had the foot injury last year and ran hard when he was able to play and could compliment him when he is given a breather.

I hope we see Nofo has signed this week as he is a priority for us for culture along with the fact he had a great year last year and if BJ comes back in good condition he will have a great year again. We also have options with JTJ to assist in long range try’s which we did not have this year and possibly stop them with his pace.

I have hope again we are going to do well and if we work on the defence in the preseason the 8 should be a real possibility in 2021

I would like to get Laurie and Sironen for next season as they would make us even stronger and add additional excitement for the year.

Yes I am hoping we can finally get into top 8 next year, we have picked a few handy players to compliment those we kept

Musgrove will be good for us. He was really impressive in those last couple games of the season, really made an impact running the ball and putting big tackles on too. I think he should start alongside Tamou

Would love to see Nofa re-signed before the new year

JA is on $360K. If Broncos chip in $100 to $140K, we get JO for $40 k at worst. He has more potential then JA IMO.
We should never deal with Tyran Smith again as he is the cause of this drama (manager of Adam Founa Blake as well).AFB on $950K at Warriors. That's the reason JA saw chance for big dollars at Manly. If deal with JO falls through, we should ensure he is not granted a release unless a player of equal value is released to the Tigers.

I think that "banning" an agent is fraught with danger as it could cost you a key player. I remember Politis banned Tedesco's manager until of course he wanted Tedesco. I do however think its a good policy to have a strong mix of agents representation through the club. That is supposedly part of the problem at Broncos is one agent has the majority of players plus the last coach.

Having said that Tyran Smith doesnt have many players on his books and Aloiai is probably the best so there would be little risk in making that statement.
