The two events are around the opposite way. Tino hit Bateman first and then the push in the PTB was later....look at the scores underneath. The video has been edited to tell a story that didnt happen.

I think the clock shows Tino got him in the tackle first, then Jonneh tried to square it up in possesion at the play the ball...and failed
Doesn’t change the point of view, if anything it supports my argument. Tino hit him with a cheap shot, and Bateman front on pushed him for it, and basically said ‘here I am u coward, have a go at me now!’.
Still shows that Tino can only pick on smaller guys and players that get hit on the blind side!

You think it's minor... It's tinos job in D to stop the ball carrier.. Whether it's a half the size of Mitch Moses or a jwh. It wasn't an illegal hit and if Bateman doesn't see him coming its his fault... Nothing cheap about it

It's a shame with Bateman. I was excited when he came here and thought he was decent in his first season but he proved me wrong with his play and behaviour this season.
The last thing he did for us was crab run across the field then drop the ball if I recall correctly. Then had a sook when Benji called him out on it. We don't need that shit here and although I'm not opposed to sticking him in reserves and letting him rot just to piss him off, it's better for the team and the cap that he pisses off to Manly or anyone else who will put up with his BS.

That’s your opinion not fact. I disagree, each to their own.
I think a guy that’s as big as Tino is can take on guys his own size as well. But he powderpuffs when theres another big guy. Just a big tuff guy on small guys and blind side hitting. At least Bateman stand up to them, not just hit and hide.

I mean it's great we have May. We were really seeing a gap up front and we still have a shortage of 1x good second rower.
But the plugging of that gap was accidental.
Likewise with our assistant coach. Look glad Hodgo will be helping Bula, Brett was more about skills and footy brain then raw athleticism. I reckon he has a few tricks to teach. Ofcourse glad Ingles is around too to help train Bula. ...
Fullback isn't our big problem though.
The biggest problem has been defensive structures, tacking and grit. I don't think Chris Heighinton is up to the task and I don't think Hodgo is either.
Even Luai and Turuva are a bit of a "they fell in our lap" recruitment. Likewise Greg Bird reached out to us....
I am liking the 2025 side. But I don't see that long term plan we need. Were definately improving, but need a lot more structure and a long term plan to get the club a shot at the finals.
It's good, but accidental.

I think Bateman can be an asset here at the tigers.
Hope he can sort out the off the field stuff with the club. He is a very hardworking and competitive player.

The challenge with releasing Bateman too is we don't have an obvious candidate to fill his role. It would have to be bird, seyfarth or johanassen. Like him or loath him, he's a decent 2nd rower.
If richo and benji can get him in line, then maybe he's worth keeping. But it sounds like it's too far gone.
