Bateman is pushing 300 games .....my opinion turning him into a 13 would be the worst possible call ....he probably would spend half his contract here in rehab ....already had a shoulder reco

Many feel the same with Sheens Benji Farah...but oh yeh they were here 17 years ago... Brown wasnt

You can really see Sheens in the player that Batemen is, 5/11 or 6ft at best, exceedingly mobile, under a 100kg and seeing him play heads up football in Canberra, which is rare for 2nd rowers, suggests a high league IQ. Not as in past players but recruitment. A mediocre player that would be expected to be the marquee signing

To be fair , radley played in the middle , Bateman played wide on the right , so radley seen more of the ball and done a lot more work , so u are not been fair to Bateman

Comments like this amaze me with their ignorance.
Even this season, when we ultimately won the spoon with our pack, we were still in the position to win half of our games. We had that many close losses and matches where we somehow lost where it seemed impossible. That means the forwards held their own. They may not have smashed their opponents to smithereens, and may have been blown away at times, but they still matched the opponents half the time. Which is all a decent half should need.
Games there for the taking, and our halves couldn't get us home.

And that was this season, with the worst pack we've ever had. Previous seasons our pack has also held their own at least half the season. And our halves couldn't convert losses to wins. Sure the pack could have been better, which would have made it easier, but Brooks was the one kicking down the opposing fullbacks throat, passing the ball to someone not expecting it or just kidding tackles.

I didnt think he looked for it much either.
He was a gun at Canberra, with his last year there being pretty miserable. He hasnt done much since.
I just hope we arent breaking the bank for him, he could spend most of his time here on his arse in rehab.

Hard to get culture right when the club cannot even get the colours right.

I agree on more wrestling training.... Too often opposition forwards not put on the deck.... I fear sheens focus on attack won't see this addressed tho

I would think Furner and Farah would be working on this without necessarily having a specialised coach.
