John Morris Gone

100% agree with the majority of what you say Davey.
This will probably be my last year as a paying member of the club, after 20 yrs.

Especially if Benji is not willing to listen to anyone else about things he may or may not be doing right, ie (a mentor)- please Benji, you are not that good, we know you love the club, but that doesn't make it a winning club, loving a club is not enough
Well said tigeress, im the same with membership, just no professionalism and Ive had enough, big boys club

That's an unhealthy grudge to hold, though I must admit that it still has a prominent place in my footy memories.
Probably but it’s one I will always hold. One of the most important games in our history and all he had to was pick the ball up or fall on it off a scrum. He did neither with all the time in the world and we know what happened next.

That moment quite possibly cost us a grand final spot because I didn’t see either the Panthers or Titans beating us on the way to the finals that year.

I believe that unless we sign a , senior coach to help Benji , they may as well sign ME .
I senior coach who can get are team to defend like the panthers , and attack within the oppositions 20 , rather than go one out , there must be a class act out there some where

Ben Teo, but ill bet he goes to Souths

There isn't a heap of coaching talent available in Australia at the moment, so I looked up the winning percentages of coaches in the Super League who could potentially be interested in taking up an assistant coaching role in the NRL and with us.

Sam probably being the obvious choice.

- Matt Peet (Wigan Warriors): 77.06%
- Willie Peters (Hull KR): 71.43%
- Sam Burgess (Warrington Wolves): 71.11%

So we got a rookie doing a review on his mates & someone who got him the job.... should go well then
This is a very media lead narrative at the moment

But the football structure hasn't changed for a long time even since saint richardson was here

If the random cricket bloke Matt betsey was still here would everyone feel more comfortable?

For what ever reason, the tigers GM role has historically not been a very senior role and that has not changed since richardson time.

SM along with benji just like richardson did obviously back themselves and dont want anyone above them.

I think the whole benji mate narrative is misinformed when you take into account richards only taking over Matt beatsey

Also keep in mind SM has been in that role for a brief time

Take into account the job description and the role is 3rd man down from CEO and Benji we all dont really know the job description could be a lot of admin and organisation involved.

So keep in mind we are not operating the same way as a Gus Gould GM way If someone senior comes in like that we need to change the current structure they have in place and keen to hear some names but dont think club is targeting that structure so might be pure fantasy purpose

Lol this is not good enough for an NRL club especially one constantly anchored to the bottom

listened to Buzz and Weidler on podcast a few days ago, they were saying that Morris and Marshall had different ideas about their ideas on going forward. So the way I look at it, Bomber challenges Benji, bye bye Bomber, Benji needs those Yes man

Is it morris responsibility for defence?

There is a narrative club not happy with defence and Morris got the blame

That's true. It feels like Benji has been uncomfortable as a head coach due to not having enough experienced mentors around him, along with his inability to listen. The Rising documentary spoke volumes.

He should have completed an apprenticeship as an assistant coach rather than being rushed into the role after the Sheens debacle.

So now he's trying to assert his dominance.

But the biggest problem is how poor our roster has been, and it's going to be even worse next year. We have a very low footy IQ team, and our depth on the field is virtually non-existent.

What worries me most is that when the game gets tough, we fold like a deck of cards.
