OFFICIAL Jordan Miller #289

Would be disappointing if true but this is the problem with chucking too many kids on top 30 deals… unfortunately somethings got to give & realistically Miller probably won’t be ready for full time first grade until 2027.

Very debatable IMO…the team has a need at the position so I can see them pushing him through before then…( assuming his fitness is there )

When will fellow Top 30 player Josh Feledy, be ready for regular NRL?

12th of Never most likely …

We seem to love keeping Duds and offloading future stars

The other teams don’t want the duds though … WT always seem to be desperate for roster spots …

They don’t have any spots …because they have so many duds on the roster …

If Richo can’t break this cycle then I dont know who is going too…

I was impressed by Miller yesterday in the Fiji side compared to a year ago.
The baby fat looked more like muscle. Trimmed down somewhat, good runs, looked to offload, tackled OK. Didn't try to hide after each run because gassed. I was sceptical if he would progress? But now showing big improvements and obviously ambition to play NRL. Knows what's required.
"AND HE IS STILL ONLY 19 YEARS OLD"

Yeah I can’t understand this one either.
The Roosters have 7 spots spare for 2025 and the Sharks have 6 or 7 roster spots free as well; I know that the roosters had a few retiring / leaving league but how do the sharks go a whole season having so many players with their futures up in the air?

All top 4 I guess there is a level of expectation in those sides that if your not in the regular 17 your just a filler and expendable. I.e none of their off contract players are going to replace any of the on contract players so they can take their time to fill their roster with either the current mob or some up and comers that are better talents. We at the other end of the comp don’t have that luxury and struggle to fill a top 30 roster with talent as it is.

Someone mentioned Penrith have a full 30 man squad ...I guess that it is easy when you have such a strong junior base to choose from

Well if he is contracted and he is leaving then I would assume we don’t want him
I would let him go , we need spots to get forwards who can get us close to the finals or we will lose Galvin , once we can get further up the table we will be able to pick and choose who we want or keep .

I feel like Miller could have played the Hunt role, for much cheaper, and probably less impact - but a better future? Maybe?

Putting 2 and 2 together, I think theres a good chance he is gone. Sione Fainu gives us more over the next 2 years anyway. Arguably Johansen too. After that, who knows

While I like Sione and think he's a good bench option, I think the most important thing about his re-signing is keeping the brothers happy.
