JAC is the perfect fit for our club. Like Brooks, Nofa, Lawrence and Marshall, he loves the club. Manly had their run a few years back with a similar mentality albeit, amongst that lot, they had a lot more to offer ability-wise.

You are spot on there Rusty.
We need to get that group feeling going. Manly did it will with that US vs Them. The Bulldogs had it too with James Graham ready to fall on his sword to keep Josh at the club (both had to leave, must be a really mismanaged cap).
Easts offer players unders, regularly. Easts, a very mercantile club who would throw out Mitchell Pearce yet seems to get loyality from the people it signs.

What do we need to do to get players wanting to play for us?

Winger Josh Addo-Carr will meet Storm coach Craig Bellamy on Monday and tell him he wants out of his contract. He is handling his own negotiations because he has parted company with his managers, Chris and Gavin Orr.

From DT what’s the Buzz

To rejoin the weststigers hopefully, along with Latrell, that would be nice

Thats wrong, he isn’t meeting with Bellamy. He will get a new manager. He’s leaving his current one very soon, hasn’t left just yet.

Back three of JAC, Trell and Nofo... I'd be more than happy with!

The club keeps chasing but not catching. Will they ever catch a big fish? I hope the club fully explains to the supporters this week.

Benji and Robbie played for a pittance this year...Lawrence is playing on for minimum wage...Brooks is on $550k...we do have players that want to play for us...it's the ring ins that are on big money and either stick around taking the mickey or leave when there's a better offer.

And wait for it,

Will look to join indigenous trio Latrell, Cody and Roberts at South Sydney....

I remember when Addo Carr left he said he felt like he'd be back at WT at some point

Maybe the delay with the Latrell is that they're both wanting to end up at the same club

Who knows whats going on behind closed doors
If we could manage to land both that'd be unreal

Don’t get your hopes up @Newtown. I imagine it will be a live stream of Pascoe talking about the COE and how our current roster is competitive. It will be a very underwhelming discussion that will have technical difficulties throughout. (Not being negative but Influenced by previous q&a’s).

Shortly after I expect the Pom to chime in saying how close we were to signing LM but something happened and Madge is furious!!

It will be DWZ all over again but far more horrific. I hope I’m not wrong but I’m getting ready for the ‘CT deserves the FB spot’. Kill me now.

Buzz said Latrell would be a WT's play by Tuesday gone

[Mole Warning]

The Storm are set to refuse a request from star winger Josh Addo-Carr to get out of his contract and return to Sydney.

'The Fox' has two years left to run on his deal but is seeking to move back to his home town on compassionate grounds.

The Blues wing ace is meeting with Storm coach Craig Bellamy today - but word out of the Melbourne camp is that his request will be denied.

Bellamy is worried about his club's strength and experience in the three-quarterline, having lost Cheyse Blair (Castleford), Will Chambers (released), Scott Drinkwater (Cowboys), Solomone Kata (rugby union) and Curtis Scott (Raiders) in the past 12 months, and with Suli Vunivalu also headed to rugby in 2021.

As a result, the club doesn't want to release Addo-Carr, one of the best finishers in the game.

The Storm's stance could lead to an ugly confrontation - but hopefully Bellamy's diplomatic skills will prevent it from getting to that stage

Let's wait and let player and coach have a meeting first before hypothesising about scenarios.

I reckon they would release him in a trade. Their backs are lean, problem is we don't have anyone they would want. South would gladly swap Johnson for jac and while it's a downgrade for the storm it's still a player with a proven strike record.

I think Bellamy would see potential in the likes of Momirovski or Talau. In fact he might prefer those guys to someone likes Johnston who has had plenty of chances to show his ceiling and never risen to any great heights. These kinds of trades aren't like for likes, they're more just a matter of getting something out of a bad situation (a player wanting to leave).

I'm sure the Storm already have kids of the level of Talau and Momo in their system. They need a combination of experienced and proven players and youngsters. They're not going to release a rep player for a kid with potential.
