Agreed, Russ, and it seems he is a better man than majority of his predecessors based on high levels of empathy and intelligence alone (not smart enough to know the NRL’s little black book of ‘allowed’ cheating, but hopefully soon). I for one am delighted with head office proggy

It's not down to rule changes. Players with speed have always caused issues for the defences. We've produced more than our fair share of fast players so other teams can buy them because traditionally we undervalue them. Let's see how we go retaining our current crop of fast players. We'd better do a far better job than we have in the past.

You could make a pretty good first grade team with the players tigers have managed to let go over the last 7 years. Their recruitment and retention programs are severely flawed. Would be bottom 3 in the league
