Josh Addo Carr Contract Discussion

I posted a while ago the Fox, Latrell and Arrow would be at Souths so far 2/3. The 2RL Souths Vs Easts is real. We need to accept it and work our way to the next best players available after the big Clubs take the talent. Doueihi, Leilua and Stefano would be a good haul.

We have a few players in their final year ET, McQueen, Jennings that should free up space for a few more recruits next year also. I like Doueihi as a 5/8 to replace Benji.

ET had a good career.
He can kick on in ESL.

Always a safe, hard working player.
Doesnt really get much hype but hes solid as it gets.

ET is solid hasn’t been the same dealing with a chronic knee problem. Aloai needs to be taking the 13 jersey and making it his own we need grunt in the middle.

Seyfarth will be our long term 13
But ET doing a fine job as it stands.
Not convinced Eiso will be here in 2021

Edit: fit Aloiai would be nice early season

They let go chambers and curtis Scott they couldn’t have cap problems

That’s what I was thinking! Croft and Vunivalu went as well and I don’t think they’ve signed anyone of note, so I can’t see how they’d be having cap issues.

Cam Smith signed a one year extension for $1,500,000
That's why he took so long to sign on for another year because Storm knew they would need to release players
Highest paid player in history now
Now storm are struggling with the cap
Thats how

Let's see if this rumour spreads ?

I'd personally like to welcome Phil Rothfield to the WTF.

Could this be the news that might start the wheels in motion

You are right mate, if only I had recognised the enormity of the occasion!

So now BJ has jumped on board, would that be a bargaining chip for addo carr? Shows that we're bringing in players and strengthening the squad, and surely JAC would enjoy the thought of playing outside him?

Thoughts??

"A midweek rumour about Josh Addo-Carr signing a $950,000 a year deal with the Bulldogs was way off the mark. The Bulldogs considered making Addo-Carr an offer back in December but did a U-turn when he would not commit to a meeting at Belmore. Out to gauge whether or not his interest in returning to Sydney to be closer to family was genuine, the Bulldogs were only going to match his Melbourne deal, reported to be worth less than $350,000 a year." - Via James Phelps

Nobody anywhere is signing any winger for $950K, not unless this is 2055 and there has been significant inflation.

In essence JAC is a better winger than Nofo, Corey, PM and Jennings but not for $300k per year more than what those guys are receiving. If JAC, and whoever is engaged with contract discussions on his behalf, are looking at the top end of town type dollars then Tigers should back off and turn their attention to paying a little bit of ‘overs’ for Adam Duehi. Class act, versatile as he can cover 1 and 6, a lot younger than JAC. I am a big fan of AD. He was the rabbits best at number 1 at the back end of last year. Not saying I am not a JAC fan but for versatility and about $100 per year cheaper, Tigers management should get serious about this kids signature.

Who said anything about 300k more? Merely 100-150k. And that's for a player light years ahead of all of our current wingers

I wish the kid that everything good will come his way but for the life of me stop drooling over him... he just made 2 tries out of 30 appearances... we shouldn't pay overs for potential (I sound like a broken record coz I've just about echoed what some of the posters here are saying)

Looks like he is spending plenty of time with Latrell so would assume he will be a Bunny in 2021

Woods and Klemmer are best mates by all accounts, doesn't mean you have to play in the same team.
