The guy was rightly a second tier signing that was identified as good potential who signed a contract when his manager was aware that although severely struggling with the cap, WT were interested and had asked for a week or two whilst our head honcho was away.

He wanted to get out of the deal, but had waited until the cooling off period had passed. WT wanted to retain him, but were not given he opportunity to do so without paying too much out to Melbourne from an already blown cap and with whom WT subsequently attempted to negotiate a deal.

Anyhow, carry on ranting and don't let any facts get in the way of a player that I also wanted to retain.

Yep thats how I understand it all took place. If JAC wanted to stay, which everybody claims, then he simply jumped too early.

I also suggest everyone see where JAC is in 12 months time to see whether he is a loss. Still has defensive deficiencies and errors in his game. I would have liked to have kept, as was the case with Koro.

I agree. Some people have such short timeframes for making absolute calls on players. Chris Lawrence was the next big thing, then became the big thing, then stopped being the big thing, you can't make such summary judgements over footballers based on a few rounds.

If JAC plays a whole good season without being found out, then yes, laud the performance. But also beware the first-year syndrome where players make an impact until teams develop strategies against them.

That is harsh on Lawrence it was a terrible injury which downgraded him to what he is now. However i do wish he would retire as he is no longer first grade standard because of that

Ok JT is gone and good riddance, but what about the clowns that rubber stamped his appointment they need to be punted also.

Umm that would be the old board who have been gone for 2 years.

Umm..and the current board backed his ridiculous decisions for the last 2 years.
However, just to prove they can be incompetent all by themselves they let another guy leave (Paseka) for no reason other than he asked them …sheesh!
Not to worry , we've got loads of 200cm, 125kg forwards lolling around in the lower grades.

I know it's harsh on Lawrence, but that is a strong sentiment around here. And anyway you "do wish he would retire", fairly harsh itself. I still think he has something to offer the club, and anyway we owe him money and he's letting us pay it out over more seasons.

If he retired i would expect the club to pay him out fully,Would be pleased to have him in some support role at the club just not as a player

Just because Lawrence has a contract, doesn't mean he gets a spot in the starting 17\. I'd prefer he play reserves and mentor the younger players. At least then he is not taking the spot of someone more deserving.

Our lower grades are getting smashed. Not too many that are deserving.

Moses Suli or Josh Addo Carr?

Pretty much what it came down to.

Really? We couldn't offload Rankin, Heleta and Kev to free up some up some money to keep both? Bad decision no matter how you look at it.

I was talking about the board.
A few sackings there wouldn't go astray either.
