Not sure why there is so much hate for Lawrence.

Yes he's injury prone, but he's probably our most professional player along with ET. Tackles well and plays tough unlike most of our team.

I'd still have him as starting second rower next year when fit.

Agree 100% Not the same player he was but still does his job. Runs good lines and hits holes hard.

Honestly he is trying his guts out and for a smaller person isn't doing badly. Hard hitter and getting amongst it. We can't keep picking and flicking, Let him continue to stay at WT, he isn't the worst in the team by a long shot. Sure don't pay overs but don't play unders and let a club junior stay till completion.

I used to hate Bryce Gibbs with a passion, till I realised that he was doing a lot of the hard meters. I am surprised that Lawrence is in the front now, i had thought a Utility role would suit him better…. However he is doing a bit of that gritty work in the front that our team needs.

I saw Aloiai the other day when he was roaming around Campbo Stadium before the game. Asked him about his injury and how that was all progressing, he reckons he'll be back for the game against the Knights- that's what he's aiming for. He was trying for the Titans but doctors didn't want to risk it not being 100%. He said his recovery is going really well and he even said he was about 6 weeks ahead of schedule in rehab which is awesome news!

He needs to come back via NSW Cup. He needs fitness and form before getting a callup. He's been very average this year so far and after a long lay off he needs to brush off the cobwebs a bit.

Sue and Lovett still need to be dropped though. Shows how badly we need reinforcements when the likes of Lawrence, Lovett, Sue and Aloiai are being talked about as starters.

That is the problem BB before the season started most people identified our 2nd row as poor i really cant see much if any improvement for 2018.We desperately need a couple of decent 2nd rowers for next year

if only 3/4 of the team had what lawrence, gives every game we would be in a better place. he runs hard hits hard, he just does not have that bulk, but he gives 100% every game and he is one of my favs.

I agree bp - Lawrence tries to the best of his ability each week and has a great attitude. He always tells it like it is and throughout his career has been a terrific club man. As you say, if the rest of the squad really aimed up and gave as much as he does it would be far easier for me to digest the losses each week.

I agree Lawrence gives his all & thats what we ask - he certainly deserves his spot. Having said that if they each gave what Elijah Taylor gives every week we'd be winning the comp. Its all about attitude & commitment . Anyway I can't wait for next year to come around.

No, it's not. It's also about talent. Take Lovett. He's just as professional and hard working as Lawrence, he's just crap. Even his 110% performances are worse than your average league player.

Attitude is important, but talent is equally so.

I was once kicked off this forum for saying how lame Lawrence is - great to see that a lot of people also think the same way as Trumpy. His heart is in the right place but he sucks. Fire him, Sue, Lovett, Aloia, Chee Kam. Buy some good back rowers

Agree with all but Aloia.

It's not hate, it's more sadness really. It's like when you realise the loyal, loved family dog is on its last legs and needs to be put down.

I agree , Aloiai has a good upside.
I would hope that they could work something out with Lawrence to keep him at the club in some capacity though, rather than just throw him on the scrapheap.

I agree with you there. I think he'd be good off the bench for short stints next year with a view to him eventually joking the coaching team or perhaps working in an ambassadorial role like Dene Halatau.

Didn't we extend his contract last season until 2019/2020?

A natural left player who spent his rookie year playing on the right with a busted hand. Second year played middle. Did great both years for a kid.

Time to play whats natural for him. Left backrow.

This is the backrower we have craved and i believe Ivan is starting ti see it.

Is a left side player so let him own it.

Great game today…his run off Brooks for his TRY was special..his defence also had sting..we need to work plays around him...I agree he looks good on that left edge..

Oh and it's Aloiai...

On of the best dynamic performance by one of our forwards in a very long time. He broke tackles on almost every run and looked like he would get through the line. Very special player and just the impact player we need for next year. We will have an amazing forward pack next year.

Love this kid. To play his full rookie season and earn the ire of barely anyone on the forum is some achievement.

It's a shame injury interrupted his season. Guys like Aloiai, Masters, Twal and Eisenhuth are really going to cause some selection problems for next year. I can't remember when we last had such stiff competition for positions right across the park. McQueen and Lawrence are going to have a real fight on their hands for starting backrow spots next March.
