Josh Aloiai #190

Was exactly the sort of player we needed last night in an injury impacted team

Stood tall, tried his heart out and kept on going till the fat lady sang .

Well done.. Really pleasing to see an effort like that
That also complimented ET

Played extremely well. Be very happy if he can keep that up for the rest of the season and beyond.

Also appears to be a classy young man. Anyone else notice him come over and try and calm Fifita down when he blowing up?

He played more minutes last night aye…
Try saving tackle was absolutely UNREAL.

He's proving to be a GREAT signing!
33 games in a row ?

Straight from Parra U20s.

I bagged him last week for 2nd year sydndrome. But last night what a game. If he keeps improving then our forward pack next year is going to be the best pack we have had in a long time.

The irony in woods, leaving to the dogs because he doesnt want to keep carrying the team. Yet the bulldogs are shopping around tolman, eastwood, kasiano and graham. While we build a great forward pack. Have fun carrying another forward pack woodsy, while the likes of alioai, mautilino, mcqueen, taylor and most likely packer kill it for us.

Josh is decent to the core. Heaps of natural ability. Hopefully he will be coached and encouraged to become the footballer so many have believed he could be from his junior days.

Brilliant performance….had been average leading up to this game. He really looked to step up and take on the extra responsibility. That in itself is a very positive sign.
9/10 performance.

Haven't seen the game yet but he reminds me of a younger, better Fifita who can run straight, hit hard, and isn't a complete asshat.
Top quality person, love to have him as a Tiger and thrilled to hear he had a good game!

Pity he didn't level Fifita with a left hook. I would pay good money to see Fifita get KO'd, he is a poor excuse for a human that bloke.

So I wasn't the only one thinking this last night.

I thought Josh Aloiai made some strong tackles tonight. I was wondering how to utilise him better in attack. Is it something he needs to change or is there a way the team can use him better?

Thoughts?

He just needs momentum. If he comes on and the pack is getting monstered like it was tonight and against the Sharks, his impact isn't going to effect the game as much. I don't think there is too much he can improve on at the moment.

Aloiai is one player who is still improving and showing improved strength in his hitups this year. His defence is also pretty solid. I'd be looking at starting him in the backrow next season alongside McQueen. We definitely need to field a bigger pack and Josh is one of our bigger backrowers with good mobility.
