Any chance Reynolds didnt play on the weekend because the club is in the middle of negotiations to release him back to the Dogs

Thats what some of my dogs fans are pressing for….

Surely that can't happen. Benji only has one year left in him. If Josh isn't in firsts this year, he definitely will be next.

All this speculation is crazy. The bloke has hardly played in the last 2 years. Of course he needs some time in a lower grade. He isn't a Thurston or Smith.

I cannot believe we would swap Josh for a 2nd rower when we have decent depth there but very little in the halves. Particularly with a injury prone 34yr old running around as our starter and retiring next year. Makes no sense at all.

Your question was ,who we could swap Josh for. I'm not sure if there are too many worthy players to swap for, unless you would like foran who is far more broken than Reynolds as a clean swap.

They see him.as a Dogs club man. Just like our robbie despite being at souths.

The Tigers need to decide if he is our post Benji solution.

You will see it in the papers soon i think

It's a big chunk of cash to outlay on a guy that's not a consistent game breaker. I'd be keen to get into the market or promote a junior like Talau.

I get a laugh from a lot of the experts on this forum.. what is it 11 seasons without a finals appearance! Reynolds has had bad luck with injuries but the truth is have a look at the game last week there was no spark in the middle at all ,Benji gets it done but there is going to be a lot more needed when the going gets tough later in the season !
To much talk about money around here .. if Josh comes good I see a finals berth without him well it’s probably 12 seasons …

7 years Snake , but feels like 11 years

I see where you are coming from but unless the forwards can keep up the same momentum they have created so far it won't matter who the halves are

Exactly. The difference has been the middle forwards getting on top and secondly having quality edge options. If we lose that punch we aren't going to perform.

This is the same for every other team.

We need a game ready Reynolds and to get him prepared via the ISP is a luxury and good move. The added bonus is his experience will be influencing the young players in the team.
