The contents of that news piece must place the case against Reynolds on shakey ground. You would think she'd cut and run before she gets charged with fraud.

Don't get how people criticise the Eels as a club for lack of integrity yet are happy to throw one our players under the bus just to save a few bucks on the salary cap.

Culture starts at home. Very happy that Pascoe,Maguire and co have stood by Josh

Quote of the night. Some of the comments tonight are just plain pathetic.

That’s why details are important.. Maybe there will be a few retracted comments in here now. Awkward..

Yep.

What if he’s found guilty.

No chance.

You should tell the police, maybe they’ll drop the case.

Clever reply mate. Have you thought of writing for a living?

I’m currently writing a novel about about a person who frequents sports forums who can predict verdicts in cases. It’s in the fantasy genre.

Not meaning to seem the supreme good guy but I met Josh at the Tigers Members Day last Saturday. He was in the line of chairs signing jerseys and hats, etc. I walked along, shaking hands with all the players, wishing them luck and making an occasional brief attempt at conversation.....to Chee Kam, 'One of your match winning tries should have got try of the year', to Brooksy, ' I hope the forwards provide some space for you this season', to Benji, 'You were the most exciting player my sons and I ever saw' while, to JRey I said, 'I hope everything works out for you Josh'. The reason I said this was because, even though it was an ugly video, I understood that it was probably only half the story and that his partner had most likely set him up. Add to this, Josh had always come across as a genuine, nice guy when I watched him on NRL 360. I hope he gets a chance soon to finally show his worth and answer the doubters. He deserves a change of luck.

Good luck with that, just keep the day job until you make the best seller lists. But, in case you want to be serious about it for a second, based on what I've heard and seen (which is no more than anyone else) I don't believe there is a viable case against him. That's why I think there is no chance he'll be convicted. I'll make it my duty to admit my error on this forum if I'm proved wrong.

to me it’s case closed.

That is an interesting choice of words when you have just criticized people for doing the same on the opposite side of the argument.

I am very glad that the club and NRL appear to be standing by Josh with this side of the story coming out!

Police and prosecution don’t just lay DV charges for the sake of it. Just because this woman may be and probably is mentally unwell doesn’t mean josh didn’t do anything. Got to see how the courts decide it.

What did he get wrong?

I dont have it in for Josh, I saw the Ch9 piece and drew the same obvious conclusions that everyone else here has, that she seems to have serious issues and Josh seems to have been taken for a row.....*on the face of it.*

But everyone needs to take a step back.

There is a long line of people here now saying "SEE! You have to hear both sides of the story! You cant jump to a conclusion on that video!!!"

Well that is obviously true, but it is just as true based on the Ch9 piece. We still dont know what the hell happened.

As I say on the face of it, she seems a piece of work, with mental health issues and has taken Reynolds on a hard ride, but what would that excuse? Screaming at her, swearing calling her names? Maybe. What if he got sick of it and punched her in the mouth? Would that be excusable based on what she has supposedly done? Of course Im not saying he did punch her in the mouth but none of us know what happened and just as it is right to say he shouldnt be hung based on the video, he also cant be sainted because of a Ch9 piece which makes him look vindicated.

None of us know the truth and you can only hope it comes out clean through the court. You would have to think that this isnt the first the cops have heard of these allegations though.

You reckon this is the first the cops have heard of it? You think Reynolds didnt want to tell the cops to save hurting her feelings?

When there’s AVO breaches yes. No AVO in this case. So It suggests it’s more than an arm grab.

All for your rumours and signing suggestions but you've lost me here.

Just hanging on to your claims we would get money back on Reynolds. You've been blown out of the water on that one.

Next.
