"Aunty Vi" contacted Josh Reynolds on July 17, 2019.

Things were very difficult for the del Bussos following the death of the mother of Reynolds' girlfriend, Arabella.

Vi was Arabella's "aunty". She reached out to Wests Tigers star Josh Reynolds, she said, because she needed a loan after spending all her money on the funeral. Feeling terrible for them, Reynolds sent her $2400.

Shortly after, Arabella said she needed money. She, too, had spent a lot of money on her mum's funeral. Reynolds gave her $1500.

Reynolds' suspicions were raised when he asked Arabella when Aunty Vi might be able to give the money back. Arabella would allegedly bristle and say she would pay it back herself, not Aunty Vi. Reynolds thought that was unusual, as Aunty Vi asked for the loan.

This is just one of many alleged occurrences during Reynolds' relationship with del Busso that he will rely upon when giving evidence in his court hearing on one count of assault of del Busso occasioning bodily harm.

How can an AVO be granted to someone who is not real?

Reynolds' legal team of Dan McGirr and barrister Margaret Cunneen, SC, are in possession of evidence they say shows Aunty Vi's bank account details were in fact details of an account held by Arabella del Busso.

Aunty Vi doesn't exist. Reynolds was allegedly "catfished" from inside his own relationship. Catfishing is when someone creates a fake online persona and lures another person into their world. The person believes they are real.

Several other boyfriends have provided statements to Reynolds' defence team claiming the same. One will state a "Jason Wells" would contact Reynolds outlining sad stories about del Busso and saying she needed money. Wells was del Busso.

We now also know Arabella del Busso is not real. She is Donna Preusker, born in Nowra on February 9, 1990. She turns 30 today.

Last night she hosted a big party at the Rialto Hotel on Collins Street in Melbourne.

Donna was raised by her mother Isobel Preusker and stepfather Matt Furlong in Traralgon, a two-hour drive east of Melbourne. Her mother provided a copy of her birth certificate.

On Thursday night I made these revelations on Nine News. On Friday, police announced they would review Reynolds' case "in light of new information which had come to hand" and were seeking to re-interview del Busso. This time she will be interviewed under her real name.

Her statement alleging Reynolds grabbed her arm during an argument on September 11 last year was signed under the name Arabella del Busso. As she did on her application for an AVO. This is the first problem for police as Arabella del Busso does not exist. Neither do her eight other aliases, which include Bella Donna di Donato, Bella di Donato, Donna Barcelona and Donna Melbourne.

Witness statements and AVO applications are legal documents. They cannot be signed under aliases. How can an AVO be granted to someone who is not real?

Another persona she uses is Georgia Barone. In Friday's Daily Telegraph, Barone was quoted defending her and said she was her sister. Preusker has no sister by the name of Georgia Barone.

Donna Preusker has one half-sister, Melissa Furlong, who is 19 and lives with her mum in Traralgon.

Barone is quite active on social media and seems to know an awful lot about what's happening with her "sister".

Reynolds appeared in Sutherland Local Court on Friday and still has a domestic violence assault charge hanging over him, and that is serious and needs to be treated as such despite the allegations above.

But the public airing of proof of del Busso/Preusker's background – including on-the-record interviews from her mother, step-father and ex-boyfriends – meant people heard the other side of the story. The matter still has a way to play out.

The above stories will be relied upon by Reynolds' defence and are contained in sworn statements. There are many more in those statements.

Meanwhile, Reynolds is free to play this season, which is the only decision the NRL could have made in the circumstances.

hey Happy Birthday to Arrabella, alwyas shout out to the WAGs.

Can anyone remember (maybe @wokesmoke) if that Georgia Barone was the social media account that was giving out the "background" to the video the other week?

It was under the name of "EmilyMaeLawson"

Ah thats right, thanks. Hard to trust anyone is real in this arrangement I would think.

There was a Georgia barone on twitter giving details about the entire thing from the woman’s side of the story and claiming Reynolds was guilty. Still defending her even after the news report. She’s apparently her friend

She’s a psychopath.

You can blame Josh for trying to **scare** this psychopath off. As long as he **didn't physically assault her**, the **scare tactics are valid**. If she can be cold enough to fake a pregnancy, what other lengths could she go to?

Just no.. This is wrong.

The web of lies and deception is immense. Can't imagine the toll this has had on his mental health.

What a mess. And its going to be in the news for a while. And during that time my clubs name is going to be linked to it.

Mate, I'm all anti-violence against women. But a psychopath is a psychopath. If the stories are true that she physically busted down his door, how would you react? Just be cool with it? I would be doing everything, with the exception of physical harm, to get her away from me.

https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/josh-reynolds-life-unravels-amid-catfishing-claims-20200208-p53z0b.html

Responding to an Instagram message from a woman named Arabella in September 2018, NRL star Josh Reynolds didn’t realise it would be the start of a relationship that would result in him being dragged before the courts and jeopardise his league career.

Less than 18 months later the Wests Tigers five-eighth is defending assault allegations from a woman he claims faked multiple pregnancies and medical conditions, and to whom he gave thousands of dollars.

Reynolds was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in late 2019 after his relationship with Melbourne woman Arabella Del Busso broke down.

Several weeks later, a video she had filmed of him shouting at her in his southern Sydney home was released to the media, intensifying coverage of the latest NRL scandal.

Reynolds, who denies the charges, is expected to allege Del Busso strung him on for more than a year with three separate faked pregnancies, at least two of which she claimed to have miscarried.

The 30-year-old’s legal team will argue Del Busso has used almost a dozen other aliases across several states of Australia, with several ex-lovers coming forward with their own allegations including faked deaths, funerals and brain tumours.

On Friday, police announced they would review Reynolds’ case "in light of new information which had come to hand" and were seeking to reinterview Del Busso.

It will be alleged the now-infamous video, where he calls Del Busso a “f---ing dog”, was taken during an argument between the pair after she had swiped his mobile off him and accused him of cheating as he sat on the toilet.

“I swear to god I’m going to flip it. You f---ing storming on me like I’m a f---ing convict you f---ing piece of sh*t,” he says in the video, filmed by Del Busso as she lies on a bed with her dog Meatballs.

“F---ing dog why the f*ck do you have to do sh*t like this. Why? Why? Why?”

**As part of its defence to Del Busso’s allegations, the Herald understands Reynolds’ legal team will present evidence it claims prove Del Busso went to great lengths to convince the rugby star she was pregnant with his twins. This allegedly included a faked ultrasound and complex measures to make her stomach swell.**

A string of former lovers of the 30-year-old Melbourne woman are also expected to provide evidence to the trial, which was last week brought forward to April. Del Busso could not be reached for this story.

Reynolds will allege Del Busso, who is also known as Arabella Del Dusso, Bella Donna Didonanto and Donna Barcellona, wouldn’t allow him to attend supposed medical appointments for her pregnancies.

It is understood his legal team will call medical witnesses to provide evidence as to whether Del Busso was ever pregnant, or whether she had attended any of the scheduled appointments.

Both supposed miscarriages are said to have taken a heavy toll on Reynolds, who believed on several occasions he was going to be a father. He will also claim Del Busso informed him she had a medical condition that could result in her death during the third pregnancy.

Their relationship broke down in late 2019 after Del Busso informed Reynolds she intended on having the baby from the third “pregnancy” in Milan, Italy. Reynolds will allege his ex-partner didn’t travel to Italy, and was in fact pictured meeting a friend at a Melbourne cafe when she was meant to be in Europe.

In the dying days of their relationship, Reynolds turned to the NRL Integrity Unit for advice on how to handle the situation. He was told to speak to the police, who suggested he take out a domestic apprehended violence order against Del Busso.

The pair broke up in December 2019, after Reynolds messaged her saying he was aware there was no pregnancy and requested she never contact him again.

NSW Police charged Reynolds with assault several hours later.

While other NRL players, including Jack de Belin, have been banned from playing in the competition under the league’s “no-fault stand down” rule, Reynolds was given the all clear by officials on Friday to play in the 2020 season.

Complex measures to make her stomach swell?? What is that ? Drinking 12 beers every week?

Maybe I'm faking a pregnancy!

So basically she did all this for about $5k? If what Reynolds legal team say is true. Seems a bit OTT for minimal financial gain. The fake ultrasound and fake “Baby weight” as claimed by the lawyer will be interesting. Just from a quick google search u can get fake ultrasounds for $10 apparently. Dunno how you can make your stomach expand to the extent they are claiming however.

3 pregnancies in 15 months. Josh needs to tarp up.

Jokes aside. It says their relationship ended in December 2019. That video and charges came from September? Or did I misread that report?

I wouldn't lose sleep over it. I do feel sorry for Josh but he'll come out of it a stronger and wiser person at the end. Just one of life's mistakes that most of us end up in at one stage or another.

Can never understand the end game when a woman fakes a pregnancy. It’s not something you can keep up forever. What’s the next step, faking a miscarriage?

The claim on their side is they can verify the pregnancies if that’s the case then the character assassination angle falls apart

Basically, an emotional manipulation. But what was the end game of the manipulation? $5k? Long lengths to go to for not much monetary gain
