Hi - Hull FC fan here in peace!

Obviously Hodgson has come over to start coaching us, and rumours are that we have be signing Josh Reynolds as well to play 5/8.

What are your thoughts on him? He has been around the NRL now for a while, but couldn't really remember his qualities, or how he plays at 5/8. Is he a runner, can he put players through gaps?

Hi mate, plenty of Tigers fans would be happy to see him go due to how much of the salary cap he takes up, relative to how much he's been on the field. BUT, and it's a big but, none of us begrudge him personally, it was just a bad deal the previous coach signed. Reynolds is a competitor, he will always give you his best. And he is a good bloke. And Brett Hodgson would know exactly what he is capable of.

Now the JR is gone , wait for it Benji makes a come back .

Benji as a cheap backup would be smart. The only problem with former champions is they are competitive and want to play. Douihei can’t have him hanging over his head.

No thank you. That only problem is too big a problem.

Alot of unfair criticism on here about Josh Reynolds. I believe he would have had a lot to offer next year for us with a full off season injury free. There's no doubt injury has plagued his stay here and has never had a fair go at it.

Luke Brooks on the other hand, pretty much injury free... Done nothing for years.. I wish Hull had taken him off our hands instead.

Don't worry, I can think of many NRL clubs which would love L Brooks in their NRL team. I am sure Tedesco would enjoy running of his kicks into the in goal to score.

Douiehi doesn't fill me with confidence at 6.

A ball running 6 just won player of the year. Douiehi and Wighton of a similar build and play style.

This should mean we keep Nofa. His asking price with some cap space is not too high. He’s coming into his prime now. Hopefully we can find a happy medium as you don’t overpay wingers.

Unfair Criticism for Josh Reynolds?
Ironically enough, You make it sound as if Luke brooks has been blessed for years with a stable coach... stable board and spoilt with an abundance of talent on our edges.. forward pack, and spine.
Potentially, Jrey going to super league could be the very thing he needs.

This won't change the offer for Nofa.

I think he will do well over there, that's for sure. Brooks has had enough to shine and hardly has. He is a bog average player and that's why he couldn't sign a deal with us fast enough years ago.

Great news, and sensible.

There's a lot of posters on this forum taking the piss out of JR, but his style of play in the halves would definitely suit the ESL

He's crafty, creates space and his second phase play is good. He's also great at the kick chase and his D is pretty solid

Even though we're paying overs I'd be disappointed if we let him go, we need an experienced backup in our halves if injuries occur in 2021

The club has put a value on Nofa and I don't see them moving much from that valuation. That is how recruitment is now managed at the club.

A breath of fresh air. I’m extremely impressed with how Hartigan does things.
