Josh Reynolds

The club now has a 7 that is struggling to perform no confirmed 5/8 the contenders are not proven ... I am a bit wary of the 1/2s situation , with Reynolds moving on this has left a big hole moving into 2021.
It is a good move by Josh but for those gloating about the fact maybe some attention should be paid to where the club is moving into 2021with the halves combination that is unless there is a proven performer coming .
This COULD be a good outcome but as it stands the team is very vulnerable.

I don't have the same opinion. I think Reynolds has proven he is shot. He was taking up a spot and if he played he was going to be a negative for us. I don't think he is NRL quality.

Losing Reynolds is a positive because we will sign another player.

The Hull fan who started this thread will think his club his getting screwed going off our reaction. I don't think this is the case, I think Josh will be a good signing for them. There won't be many NRL players better than Josh Reynolds going to England. It is a good result for both clubs.

Douiehi doesn't fill me with confidence at 6.

How so he was great vs slimers

Just doesn't seem to move like a six or have the skills to be one and he's slow, absolutely no turn of foot

On the news last night Douehi was interviewed and said that his preferred position had always been 5/8th played it through the grades but because he played in a few different positions at South's he has been moved around a bit. He pretty much confirmed its his position and thats where he is expected to play, and was very confident about it.

Makes sense, as although Adam was great under the high ball at the back, he also showed clear deficiencies there as well. Could chime into the backline well at times, though not really a hole runner or suited to sniffing around the middle role, but he went allright at centre and then instantly looked at home playing at six for mine.

I agree. While I'm happy with Reynolds move away from WT you can't deny his enthusiasm and with the standard of ESL being below the NRL I think he will be a great success if he stays injury-free.

It’s great to hear all the niceties about JR. Yes he is competitive, unlucky with injuries etc etc. End of the day, to move forward we needed him gone. Took up a stack of cap space for no return. No progress with him or Packer here. I hope WT can palm off the latter next. Then work on Mbye. Put an end to this very ordinary Cleary legacy!

I'm actually inclined for a punt now. Hull is 18 to 1 to win the grand final. If Jackson Hastings can take Salford to a grand final (Salford being dreadful) surely Reynolds can do it with Hull (who are decent)

To clarify the 'Unlucky with Injury' thing.

His shoulder injury in his first off season with us was less unlucky and more mucking around on a scooter in Bali.

In my humble opine, he looked the goods in the couple of games he played at 6.

Not true.
Been done for tripping a dozen times now

Great guy, was excited when we signed him, but it hasn’t worked out for grub at our club. He’s a square peg in a round hole. He’s not even in our best 17, and he’s our highest paid player. That says it all

Hi - Hull FC fan here in peace!

Obviously Hodgson has come over to start coaching us, and rumours are that we have be signing Josh Reynolds as well to play 5/8.

What are your thoughts on him? He has been around the NRL now for a while, but couldn't really remember his qualities, or how he plays at 5/8. Is he a runner, can he put players through gaps?

What you are getting is a fair dinkum bloke that will leave 100% on the field every game that’s all you can ask for .

Looks like old Buzzard was correct about another Tiger wanting out of the club, he just got the name wrong.
Reynolds probably looks like Musgrove through the bottom of a whiskey glass.

With Reynolds gone it removes another excuse for non performance in 2021....

28 of the eventual 30 will All have been recruited re-signed/extended by the current recruitment team..

Not his team won't fly in 21...

Still have to have time to replace that player... otherwise, it is wasted cap, and it the same as having Reynolds

We now have to find a replacement for Josh, the numbers change a lot, but I think we will be back to 4 spots to fill, won’t be easy to find quality now.

It's 3. Seyfarth took us to 28.
