Journalists

The last 10 years Nrl journo's have been vindictive towards West Tigers considering one is supposed to a paid-up member their attacks on our club make most supporters just laugh, but truth be told it is a destabilizing tactic they use and it is a shame no one from the club comes out and has a real go at them over it.
They are all scared at the beast that lies within the shambles of the Wests Tigers..

Nah they are too dumb to see what we have.

Our juniors are up there with Penrith and Parramatta.
Parramatta are going to take a season or two now to rebuild.
We've had at least one of our rebuilding seasons out of the way.
We've blooded talent that wouldn't have had a look at First Grade at any other team.
We've fielded the youngest NRL team and halves combination this year.
This years almost over....
I recognise its the same song and dance for us Wests Tigers fans year on year, but this rebuild smells different.... This Skelton signing from nowhere is EXACTLY what we should be doing...
Makes me wonder who else we are talking too.

Critta appeared to be the key that turned the Bulldogs around. Adding that level of class and some worker signings and now they're playing finals.

Luai is the same calibre and will be massive for us, he's a special player that wants to improve even more at a struggling club. He's a class act and our fortunes will change.

The Benji fairytale isn't over yet.... these sames clowns will be writing articles about how the Golden son returned to turn the club around and take them from wooden spoons to the finals.

We won't forget the vile slander that they through our way during these dark years though.

Its Journalism as a whole, not just sports 'journalism'. Journalists in current year is synonymous with activist. They have their own bias or their employers agenda to push. There are no more journalist left. One wonders, now people have the choice of more than one or two 'news' sources and the ability to look at numerous sources across all spectrums if there ever was journalism and not always activism.

What gives me the sh*ts is an NRL thing in general where journos are no longer objective. They look after certain clubs & certain managers who feed them their info.

Yep best we can do is shut them up with on-field performance!

The one journo i have always liked and is not part of the journos boy club is Andrew Webster from the SMH. I think he is very measured in his columns, does not spread gossip. I hear him on SEN and when they ask do u know or hear anything he generally doesnt spread gossip. Maybe I am a bit biased cause he doesnt tend to bash the tigers like so many other so called Journos do.

I really don’t care what these idiots say I am more interested in what Richo comes up with in the next 6 months if he can land 3-4
Hard working forwards with our improved backline, I hope we can challenge for a top 8 spot next year , but no forwards, NOTHING CHANGES, and these idiots will continue having a field day at are expensive

Buzz rothfield and this Kyle/Critta saga is a disgrace.
I'm somewhat understanding of the Kyle Flannagan situation.
Crichton basically put his nose in Flannagans mouth.
Not saying it's right to bite him, but its an invasive action. I dare say Flannagans impulsive response was to get it out of there asap... Crichton is a big boy and all over him... I wouldn't want his nose in my mouth...
Flannagan was locked down on the ground... he didn't go looking for Crichton's nose... Crichton put it there... If I went and stuck my nose in someones mouth while I had them pinned to the ground I wouldn't expect them to do nothing.

Always liked reading Webster's pieces.

Sadly the journo's think of themselves bigger than the players, huge ego's but no substance.

Hooper said 2 days a go, Valentine Holmes was going to stay in NQ, next thing he signs with Saints.

Hooper keeps banging on with 'inside mail' about Mitchell Moses going to the Roosters....so that means that Moses will re-sign the Eels for sure.

As for Rothfield the guy is the pits.

They mostly seem to fall into the following categories these days;
1. Apologists for their mates - for example Buzz re Flanno / Sticky, etc.
2. Cheerleaders / Marketing Managers for the club they support - Riccio re Cronulla for example
3. Sycophants - Weidler and SBW / Gus Gould. Any News Ltd journo and Melbourne.
4. Pea Hearts - intimidated by certain figures so will never criticize - pretty much all of them with Nick Politis,
There are a few that seem ok. Chammas, Carayannis are pretty balanced for example. Brent Reid is entertaining at least, but went weak at the knees when Billy Slater went pouty at him. Gordy is a good pundit I reckon on 360 and even Bwaith has grown on me.
Bulldog Richie, Steve Crawley, Hooper are so lightweight it’s hard to believe they even watch the footy. At the very least they’ve not had an original thought this century. Follow the herd and regurgitate the same old drivel.

is he wrong in his comment ?
Papali
Bateman
Blair
all have been worse once they arrived

Moses
tedesco
Brooks
blore
eisenhuth
Laurie
liddle
all have been better since they left

Luai will be the big test if he arrives and fires (which he will) then that is the circuit breaker
Moses is better but the rest are arguably the same. Turdesco is better because the team around him is better, the opposition have to mark numerous player rather than just one or two like they did when they played fir the tigers. It looks like individually they are playing better but it’s all fake news.

Wholeheartedly agree with what you have said above

I just finished his biography on Wayne. Great stuff

i get triggered by these muppets sometimes..

But look at our backline.

1. Bula
2. Tuarava
3 Olam
4. TBC
5. Skelton
6. Galvin
7. Luai

We've had no consistency with our backline all season..
If we keep this squad on the park, then we are a real threat in attack.... I'm over looking the forward shortage at the moment and can only assume we will tie one or two down before pre-season.

There's a real good chance that next year we could pull a rabbit out of the hat.
They aren't if the forward pack can't hold its own every week

Agree with this. Liddle and Blore spent much of their time at WTs injured and never reached their potential (I think everyone saw they had some, but they needed to move on to reach it). Brooks played the same with the Tigers as he does now, just has superstars around him to take the reins and focus so he can do what he does without the pressure. Teddy was great with us too and naturally matured and worked on his game surrounded by stars. Similarly Moses (although his first year or so at Eels was diabolical). Laurie dishes up the same inconsistency as he did with us.
Can’t discount the beneficial effect on any talented player moving from a losing struggling environment to a successful club with a star studded roster (panthers, roosters, Storm, etc)- it’s a given. You’d be wondering why if they didn’t look better and certainly top clubs wouldn’t be signing them if they didn’t think it would occur.
