JT feeling the pressure already

VT ,that's a big…..IF.....

That's why he gets paid the big bucks and not me TT. Harry got us wins over Manly, Souths and the Doggies last year, it's time for Taylor to show us he can get the same calibre out of our boys.

Excuses shouldn't be made for this team. They are simply not good enough at the moment, and as I see it their defence is quite weak, and needs to be fixed up now, or we are all going to experience more of the same, as in previous seasons. C'mon Tigers

Taylor is a tosser.

Man up and instil some confidence in your young players what is this rubbish talk?! It is pathetic, what he has said is beyond me and makes our club look like we don't want to compete. If you can't compete with the best JT then don't compete at all.

"Yeah the draw might be abit weird but it is a great opportunity to play the grand final team 3 times in the first 8 rounds, it really shows us that we are up there with the best if we can get over them"

Is much better than what that pathetic excuse of a coach said.

It's Taylor's job to make his players know that they can compete every week but not to keep indicating to them that they will be competitive some time in the future. How deflating is that for a player's confidence especially the younger ones.

He must be stupid me thinks :unamused: . Does he realize the amount of players they have missing through injuries and Suspensions ? They have 4 internationals missing :brick:

James Graham (suspended)
Klemmer (suspended)
Brett Morris (injured)
Josh Morris (injured)
Tim Lafai (injured)

I would of thought this would be the best time to play them again , especially after the embarrassment of Leichardt Oval last Weekend . You would think motivation won't be a problem tomorrow night .

Maybe he doesn't want the team to focus on their outs and think they will do it easy, like they did last week?

Really crazy comments from the coach he should be trying to improve morale not destroy it.He is already making excuses if we have a poor season

That's the only positive tactic I can think of.

We'll soon find out if it works or not.

The only way to get a fair draw, without player burnout, and maximizing "blockbusters" or rivalries, is to create a conference system. The nrl should introduce this when the competition expands to 18 teams

I think he should winge…...

Referees are crap, winge cop a fine and then TV referees judge the fifty fifties in your favour because the don't want to be scorned on the front page of the paper.

Crap draw? Winge, jump up and down and next year we will get a better one.

I'm sick of everyone being so PC. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!!! Gimmie grease I want to win the comp!

It's clear he is setting up for next year to be our more improved year.. Gets rid of older players before there last contract is up, making Farah have little say and rarely over ruling, I think he will over rule a bit more next year if he does see an opportunity. Hasn't bought anyone this year as he wants to see what needs to be bought, I think he has in his contract that it's at least x years matter what (after potter) and he will ensure his best years are at the end when renewal is due.

This way he can ensure no "white anting" as he is there no matter what and will not do you any favours and the new board will have given him x dollars to spend so he wants to ensure maximum performance. Similarly what Bennett did at the dragons, and of course they were screwed when he left as everyone was locked on big contract when he left.

A good coach is one who doesnt complain about things surrounding the game. ie Draw, refs , travel etc

A good coach focuses his energy doing what he has been hired for, getting a team to win.

So I take it you think Wayne Bennett, Craig Bellamy, Geoff Toovey and Des Hasler are all no good then?

This I as the type of thread that always comes up after a loss. In reality nothing the coach says in that press conference will change the way the team plays.

Never heard that before.

I thought a good coach was one who makes the finals consistently.

People saying good coaches dont whinge are kidding themselves.

Bellamy
Hasler
Bennett

All three are the biggest whinges and are the most successful coaches of the modern era.

If JT listened to you Milky he would be dropping 6-7 players for tomorrows game.

Real confidence booster for the younger players…

I don't 100% agree with what he said and the manner he did it but as Geo said he can only answer the questions put forth to him.

To label him a tosser and state that it shows he doesn't want to compete based on that one interview is a complete joke !

Well if you asked for my personal opinion on the coaches you list i would agree to disliking most of them except Bellamy
Throw Sticky in the mix too cause he has no idea.. If he can retain his job i think most other coaches should be safe but not the case.

Potter might have survived in the National capital till his retirement
