I suppose it's not worth pointing out the slight inconsistency between the below two statements:

stats are what they are, it provides unbiased views, … opinions are debateable but statistics arent.

I dont support Ron's view here but those statements are not inconsistent. He is saying that _reliable_ stats are useful in determining a players value to a team. This is not inconsistent with his view that the NRL's stats on their website are unreliable.
