This thread is just the new Mitch Brown thread... When he left, he played heaps of NRL games?!

Like others on this thread, you still can't justify his non-selection, all you can muster is "Its just the way it goes and the coach rates others higher".

"Couch potatoes"? Hmm…4700 posts against your name, say no more.

Oh for crying out loud….''contempt''....we have some drama queens here.

We have a squad of 25 or whatever it is, only 17 can play any given weekend...the way some people carry on

Name call and clutch at straws all you like…

The fact is, to drop Moors without explanation when it was agreed he was playing well, not pick him again for another 18 months after constantly performing in NSW Cup and deem him not as good as Mark Flanagan, Skando and Mat Groat is contempt.

If I were him, I'd take it as an insult...and play at a club who'd use me...Most would.

How do you know Moors got no explanation?
Or are you saying WE deserve an explanation?

That'll do me.

I don't mind being the odd one out.

It has nothing to do with whether or not I think Sheens is right or not…..but....

I can say, hand on heart that I don't particularly rate Moors or BMM for that matter.

And yes, I have my eyes open. I just don't see what some others do.

Maybe in time, or with another team or something, but I fail to see what the raves are about.

You seriously can't rate Groat better than Moors at this point in time, with Groats deficencies in defence and his meagre metre tallies he is way behind Moors and should not be there ahead of him..

I do actually.

Moors was a schoolboy in 2004\. In the last 7 years, he hasn't set the world on fire either with the Panthers or us. He is 25-26yo and there is no sign of massive improvement on the horizon.

Or, do I put my time into Groat? A young 20yo dude who has also played top level school boys, (and I think voted MVP in one tournament from memory). Do I give this kid exposure and experience hoping that in a year or two or three I possibly have a world class prop on the books for the following 7 or 8 years. In years to come, if he matures, he is the type of player that will drag other top class players to the club. If he doesn't, we are no worse off than we are with Moors at the moment.

No doubt Moors is a good first grade interchange player. I just don't think he is anything more than that. Sorry my opinion is a little different to yours. I respect your thoughts, I just don't see what you do.

BL really wasnt given a real fair go either, played out of position every time he got a ''crack''…so to say he didnt perform is a bit extreme

Yeah but he wasn't good enough Ink … If he was as good as some were spruiking, he'd be playing first grade.
The point I was making is that sometimes forumers get their teeth into a player and make him out to be better than he is. Junior Moors is another case in point ... He isn't that great. Matt Groat on the other hand has the potential to be something a lot better than Junior Moors has achieved. Thats my opinion and also the opinion of the bloke picking the team .... Otherwise he wouldn't be there.

I must be watching a different game.

Woods has been by far and away our best forward. IMO BMM and Moors have been the next best.

Obviously KG and Ellis always usually perform well, but they've been off the park most of the year.

Moors has been one of the top three forwards in every game he's played this year.

In a team who's forwards are constantly dominated, his aggression, leg drive and impact should mean he is on the bench every week.

Hard to disagree with any of that.

Yeah, I didn't articulate that very well.

I meant Moors was dropped for no apparent reason leading to all the speculation about why he's not getting picked on threads such as this…

And yes, the fans DO deserve an explanation because when you've got a guy playing all of 30 minutes and still making more metres than any other foward, it does come across as a bit strange when the coach deems him worse than a bloke who makes the least metres amount of any foward.

HT talking sense ONCE AGAIN.

Pity there aren't more posters of your calibre.

IMO opinion Moors is getting his go ..I really don't know what the fuss is all about! I watch his play and to me he is an average NRL player that gets his call up when injury occurs and does what he is paid to do .On Groat I do think Sheens is pushing a bit hard! great potential but should be brought on a bit slower .Sheens was the one that has been caught a prop short he shouldn't be killing the kid for his stuff up.

Well that's because I believe the coach knows more than most on here and I don't beat my chest about some misguided perception that we deserve an explanation. :unamused:

As I said, while Moors is getting some good meters, he isn't setting the world on fire. I highly doubt he would get a start in any other NRL Franchise either… Unless Junior can start making line breaks, create more off-loads and attempt to dominate opposition packs, I don't see why he should be selected ahead of any other forward.

Its funny, I was about to make a post disagreeing with you Watto, until I read this sentence.

And you are 100% right - Unless the guy can absolutely clean house over Groat in every way shape and form, Sheens may know better.

So who are the ones that know more then the coach? using the term 'most' leaves the door open to a minority who would know more

Theres nothing in that last sentence that Groat has proved he can do, and honestly whose to say he ever will?

I agree with the first section of your post.
But apply the second part to groat. Or really any other forward of ours this year (aside of woods). Thats pretty much the ultimate forward your describing there and none of ours have done that. Don't get me wrong i Iike groat off the bench he's not a starter yet and got found out when he did. My point is moors has performed well when called upon and in my opinion added some impact. If he was regularly selected I believe he would improve even more.

Maybe the problem is just that. He hasn't had a consistent go at any club. I'm not questioning sheens but I do believe he is a little hard done by.

I like this weekends side and I'll be out there at the worst stadium (mainly due to its contents) this Sunday to boot us home
