lol… Just because some couch potatoes rate him doesnt mean any other NRL Club would take him. Has he been offered any deals elsewhere???

The guys isnt setting the world on fire... I havent heard Ricky asking if he is available for NSW! Yes I like Moors, but I really dont think he is being treated poorly. Its just the way it goes and the Coach rates others higher.

This thread is just the new Mitch Brown thread... When he left, he played heaps of NRL games?!

Like others on this thread, you still can't justify his non-selection, all you can muster is "Its just the way it goes and the coach rates others higher".

"Couch potatoes"? Hmm…4700 posts against your name, say no more.

Well that's because I believe the coach knows more than most on here and I don't beat my chest about some misguided perception that we deserve an explanation. :unamused:

As I said, while Moors is getting some good meters, he isn't setting the world on fire. I highly doubt he would get a start in any other NRL Franchise either… Unless Junior can start making line breaks, create more off-loads and attempt to dominate opposition packs, I don't see why he should be selected ahead of any other forward.

Well yeah, maybe he isn't setting the world on fire, but your hard pressed to find a member of the pack (besides Woods) who is at the moment.

And yes, when is becomes abundantly unclear why a performing player has been dropped, the fans would (rightly so) like to know why he's been dropped. Even if it is a pissweak reason, whether it be he was spitting in Sheens' face, putting too much sugar in his cuppa, pursuing a relationship with his wife, just something to get things clear.

Line breaks? Hard to make when your spending the majority of the game on the bench and getting the ball in a position where all you see is jerseys in front of you.

Bhahaha love it. Lucky you weren't doing this 2 weeks ago; otherwise you would have to find a thousand screenshots and a thousand monkeys with typewriters.

Is there a thread somewhere with pictures of West Tigers playeds and us being able to caption them? Think that would be hilarious!!

because we doubt the validity of Moors being dropped some people claim we are couch potatoes with no idea. Well as I attend and I stress attend most Balmain and wests tigers games I think Iam in a better position to judge Moors than a lot of other so called experts on this forum. We are all entitled to make our own judgements and because we doubt Sheens on this selection we should not be subjected to childish snipes. Anyway IMO Moors offers a lot more than Groat or BMM or Cashman on present form and I stress present form

So which of our forwards, aside from Woods and BMM consistently do this?

Like I said, Galloway and Ellis usually do but they've been out most of the season.

Geez you would think we have a pack that dominates the opposition every week, what a laugh.

Moors hits the line at speed, has good leg drive and is very rarely dominated which means he should be a permanent bench player in a pack that RARELY does this.

Firstly let me say if I was picking the team I would have had Moors in it. However here are possible reasons for picking Groat over Moors

Moors doesen't do enough in defence - his tackle stats are always pretty low on a per minute basis (I know groat has missed a fair few this year but his effort is their)
Groat is only 20 and Moors is 26 - A Lot more potential for Groat especially given his Aus Schoolboys and U20 Origin history- he could be a star in a couple of years
Moors would be on the 2nd tier salary cap which we would be trying not to use up too early especially given Cashmere will take up quite a bit
They are different type of players - Moors is more s trike weapon then a dependable worker and we have a lot of strike type players

Obviously their may be other factors but I though it might help to look at what reasons could be

Hardly giving him crap Ink, just suggesting that another player should be selected ahead of him.

FTR I rate Moors pretty highly, Groat being behind him is nothing to be ashamed of.

Moors should see if there any vacant positions at the Storm next year.

Bellamy has a habit of turning players like Moors into very good players. i.e Jeff Lima

I always thought that props mature and play their best football in their late 20's.

Groat is the future but so far has been found out in the NRL. Better leave him in Under 20's and let him develop his game and fitness level. Maybe a few games in State Cup against older players.

Moors may be lazy in defence but we have Rhino, Fulton and Bell who are tackle machines and Rhino and Fulton hardly bend the line.

Moors at least bends the line and not dominated in tackles.

Moors to me is a good bench player and Groat see you in NRl in a couple of years time.

Hard to make 40 tackles a game or whatever you expect from him when he's played barely an hour of FG all year. A more relevant indicator of his effectiveness in defence would be how many missed tackles he's had all year, according to NRL.com, that's a duckegg.

I don't know about Cashmere taking up too much cap space, he'd be on no more than a minimum wage contract.

I don't know about having many strike type players, minimal 'go foward' and lack of aggression in the pack has been a perennial problem for WTs.

I have one.

It is just skewed towards things like kid falling off a see saw onto asphalt kind of deal

Well done tiger town. If only all supporters were as educated as you. Good post. I think it would be wise for moors to move on to further his career. He doesn't seem to be in the 'group".
In saying all that, I thought cashmere signing was as an April fools day joke at first. IMO sheens has lost the plot. His retention and buying of players is bewildering The players on the bench for one seem to be a joke. This was reflected by choosing cherry Evans on the bench and not using him. Why would you choose a halfback on the bench.

Post of the year thus far.

Love it when some of these blokes are challenged and can't justify their argument, they revert to petulance.

We do have our eyes open, we do watch games, we are in as good a position as anyone to judge who we think should and shouldn't be in FG.
