Wests Tigers junior representative teams continued their pre-season preparation over the weekend with a number of trial matches in the lead-up to Round 1 of the 2020 season.

With the Tarsha Gale, Harold Matthews, SG Ball and GSR competitions kicking off in early February, the club's seven associated junior teams were all in action over the weekend against Canberra, Monaro and South Sydney.

Manly has done a raid of some talented Western Suburbs juniors. Bulldogs did the same a few years back.

Severe rain across Sydney has forced the opening round of the 2020 junior representatives competitions matches scheduled at Leichhardt Oval on Friday to be postponed.

A triple-header at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday was slated with Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale and Balmain junior representatives sides both in action, while Western Suburbs are on the bye in both junior representatives competitions.

All three matches will be rescheduled to a suitable weekend later in the season.

Wests Tigers GSR competitions both kick off next weekend at Kirkham Oval.
