Juniors - Pathways General Discussion

I heard that 3 of the best Balmain locals coming through, Nassar, Conti & Langi had no intention to leave until they were forced out by Fulton. Fulton getting rid of players that have been at juniors since 5 years old happened at Manly now happening at Tigers.
Is Edwan Langi going too? He was only just named in the Balmain SB Ball summer squad.

Some of these names have been discussed a bit but for those who watch others clubs in junior reps are there any standouts from this lot?

I remember watching Macarthur Wests Tigers vs Western Rams in Laurie Daley Cup. At the time I was impressed by Michael Coady (prop) from the Rams. I am guessing our scouts were equally impressed by his performance.

I would take him back...
The manly bros have a few wraps

The kid from Keebra is a centre. His management company put a highlights package up when we signed him and it was completely meh

Titans and Keebra Park High have parted ways
Rumour is Keebra is finalising a deal with a Sydney based club tomorrow
Fingers crossed it’s tigers especially with the benji ties
I'd highly doubt it's us. It would be great, but with us focusing so much on the south west I can't see us outbidding others, but I reckon the Roosters or even dogs might

Interesting if Conti headed to the Dogs with Woods infront of him as to what position he then plays. Woods has a big following forming at the dogs.

Looks like Keebra is now under Souths umbrella.

Bulldogs get a huge positive story in the DT about its Pathways. Very frustrating especially this bit (as I thought we had a halves academy too) ...

Just last week, Canterbury ‘supplemented’ the club’s halves stocks by luring rising halfback Alex Conti from the Wests Tigers.

The 17-year-old will receive specialist hands on coaching as part of the halves academy alongside the likes of Mitchell Woods and Bronson Reuben, the local junior halves duo that led Canterbury to the title in the Harold Matthews Cup this year.

“That (halves academy) was a big sell for Alex and his manager Braith Anasta. We’ve got some very talented kids like Mitchell Woods and Bronson Reuben, who were our halves pairing in Harold Matts, both are on contract this year. They’ll be in the same squad as Alex Conti,” Hartigan said.

Is woods in the top 30. If conti is actually signed as rumoured to the top 30 you would assume priority
No way Gould would have two 17y.o halfbacks in his top 30.
Conti would be on some type in development deal, possibly promised a Development Contract in 2025 and it’s near certain we would have offered him something similar.

Yeah, I agree Mace is definatly a kid to work with. Still young and still has a long way to go. There are heaps of young talented cubs coming through the junior pathways. Another kid to watch out for is Samuela Sorovi. He is named in the Harold Matts Squad. Fijian background 6ft, athletic, and very aggressive. Only 15 years old but doesn't look out of place competing with 17 year olds. Currently named in the Gen Blu under 15s Waraths squad as well. I am confident Bronson Harrison will keep a sharp eye out on all the cubs coming through.
With the structure of the new Cubs pathway program, I'm sure Bronson, coaches, and training staff will develop all the kids and take them to the next level.
