Just goes to show.......

I wonder if panthers fans today arent giving their team credit due to us being so poor

Being patronising to other members is a waste of time and just makes you look stupid

This, do other supporters just say "oh they were crap anyway" or do they actually praise their own club regardless of who they beat?

We win and it's "look how bad or off the opposition is", we lose and it's "look how bad we are"

Maybe the Panthers were just too good and with our wins…...........we were just too good?

Hell we beat the Cowboys and still people were saying "oh they weren't at 100%"......

Genuine question........If the opposition is allowed to have a bad day, why not us? Too many bad days maybe?

Ok just make you happy, we beat the magnificent Dragons And the high flying ParraAnd the Cowboys , all three are giving the competition a thunderous shake and we had to play superior football to whack them, and prove the worth of our Coaches theory on selections and "Cohesion".
And last night we narrowly missed knocking the pants off the Over rated Panthers
That sounds better doesn't it.

It's not about making me or anyone happy, it's about some here being consistently negative. Some supporters will never be happy, excuses when we win and pitchforks out when we lose.

It not being negative to describe some of our opponents as below average this year ,
It's simply being realistic, some of those sides have been easy easy beats for a lot of this year,
some have been out of this comp since early in the season
Most here want to win.
But some aren't as easy to convince as others. As I've said before, we've seen it all before, and it doesn't smell any different so far.
Il start celebrating when we win our first semi final

JT has said it on a number of occasions himself.

"We should be further up the ladder with the talent we have at our disposal"

He believes we have a Top 8 squad or close to it.

I think were we are is roughly where I thought we would be. Only its a little dissapointing considering some of the big teams fell over and we could not take advantage of it.

All things fair and equal Jt deserves a 3rd season. However it is a but of a worry the performance on Friday as well as our off contract players.

As you say this season was an opportunity gone begging with Souths , Manly and the Roosters being basket cases , plus Parra being stripped of points .
I doubt we'll get an opportunity like this again for a while .

It s fair point Hobbo.

Can anyone see us the Roosters imploding again next year?

Parra wont cop - 12??

The door was opened this year and we failed to take advantage of it.

While an unheralded Gold Coast squad did.

Neil Henry deserves big pats on the back.

Why does he deserve a pat on the back if he was just taking advantage of other teams underachieving? You''re contradicting yourself there.

Slightly off topic …...
But in Regards to the Titans , as mentioned by Fade to Black in another thread , how does Hayne , Peats and Hurrell fit straight into the Titans top 25 ???

Because they're owned by the NRL !

But seriously the top 25 is a moveable feast & can change thru the year because it's based on the 25 highest paid players not the best 25 players .

Why is it a contradiction ??
Henry's obviously a smarter operator than your Guru ( JT) .
Opportunies are their to be taken in life .
The Guru butched another season !

Unlike my guru, Henry didn't have an ex captain undermining him and putting the club down in the media.

Cowboy's good and bad games are not usually that different. Look at the difference between our good/bad games it's like night and day.

Yes our good and bad are night and day, but when we win, it's look how bad the opposition was and when you lose, again it's look how bad we are rather than how good the opposition was. If it's ok to say the opposition was crap when we win, why isn't it ok to say the opposition was just too good when we lose?

I didnt hear that about the Penrith win, or the Cowboys win,
but if you look back through the draw a lot of our games were against teams that weren't , and I'm some cases, still are going pretty bad

@innsaneink said:
Theyve won one game more than us….
Pats on the back for Henry
Knives in the back for Taylor

Yeah imagine if we'd been gifted peats , Hurrell & Hayne mid season , lol .

It was a prefect storm occurrence to see those teams on the bottom along with Newcastle( who was always going to be there)
An opportunity possibly missed.
That's not negative, that's reality

Probably because most people thought they were going to be worse than us.
We certainly did.

Statistically 3 teams from the previous years top 8 miss out every year . Some people are surprised by the falls from grace but it's a reality every year . Not a perfect storm . The same will happen next year .
