Justin Olam #281

I have said it before,if Olam comes back after his surgery, gets fit and has his mental attitude at its peak,we will see the devastation he is known for into our backline and with that comes the confidence that the youth need to feed off him..
Api,Jarome,Hunt,May and Olam, now there is some hot premiership experience and knowledge that can only benefit this team and club...
BRING IT ON .....👍😉

Thankyou there has been too much doom and niggle in other threads today finally some positivity.

Hear what your saying loud and clear

Nothing like Hot Premiership Experience

I had some Hot experience's at a place called the KitKat Club in Berlin in my younger days and there is nothing like Hot Experiences

It started off going somewhere for a drink and quickly changed
Don't tell me Jack Daniel's and coke, reminds me of a time when I lived at North Ryde was at the El Rancho and ended up at the Bourbon and Beefsteak an all nighter will never forget met some great blokes.

Reminds me of where I used to go fishing in Balmain. There's a housing commission on one side of the street and multi million dollar apartments on the other side.
Used to chat with the bloke thinking he lived in the housing commission (based on how he dressed, spoke etc)...
Then one day he asked me to come out on his boat...... it ends up he's LOADED living in a top floor penthouse apartment, over looking the harbour.
Elliott St?

Drinking gets me in trouble sometimes

I was in Zurich one time got so blind drunk could not remember where I was staying and ended up sleeping in the airport

I genuinely believe Olam will thrive this year. Having Luai creating plenty of chances on the left and the opposition will be worried about the threat of Samuela on the left too. Can see him being up there close to top try scorer for us.

Yea ah, the KitKat Club is kinda on another level.

You may not like the BeefSteak there if offered...

Man it must be on a totally different level. Even to your more crazy places here like Hellfires.
I mean German + kink nightclub has to be next level.

I was listening to a podcast yesterday they were talking about a friend of theirs who was out one night and was sitting next to Justin Olam. They didn’t know who he was and asked him what he does…
He replied humbly “I play a bit football”. They asked where and what code. He said Melbourne and NRL. This person didn’t know anything about RL and started talking about other stuff but said Olam is super intelligent and has a University Degree in Applied Physics.
I think he’ll have a lot of involvement in the set up of PNG after he finishes playing
Wait, WHAT: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Olam

Olam was educated at Rosary (Kondiu) Secondary School in Chimbu and attended the Papua New Guinea University of Technology in Lae Morobe Province where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Physics. Whilst studying for his degree, Olam began playing rugby league for the Unitech Spartans in the PNG Universities competition.

In 2015, during his final year at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology, he went on to play for the Lae Snax Tigers in the Papua New Guinea National Rugby League.

So Chimbu is in the highlands. Basically it's like the Blue mountains + people who will kill each other - tea/antique shops. They are Crazy good with Mathematics and crazy strong, but they suck with English and language is not their strong point.

Ok I am now a bigger fan of Olam then ever.

I will go one step further. I know its not the predictions thread - apologies mods - I predict he will be the first picked for PNG and possibly captain if knees hold up.

Part of an interview with 9WWOS regarding the PNG team and Olams take:

"I would love to play for them but I don't know how I'm going now with my injuries. Fingers crossed," said Olam, who's contracted to the Tigers until the end of 2026."

Not a good sign!!
