playing for a junior club in the district as a primary school kid doesn't really constitute a junior lost for me.
Ditto for Hayne and Falou.

Hoffman on the other hand had a huge pot of gold given to him during Peter O'Sullivan's cash book recruitment days. Which I suspect maybe still occurring at the moment.

He played the year below me a Wanderers and used to back up for us when we were short. Was the stand-out player then, but at U12 age (I think) his team folded (as did mine the year above) and his family were moving so he ended up playing in the Souths junior league. Disappointing that Balmain Junior League were dropping off then (pre-2005) and teams folded so he couldn't be retained but just the way things go.

This thread reminds me of those articles you read in the paper on the morning of a big game revealing how one of the big name players was actually a product of the other team. They've had x amount of yrs to report it, but only report it now because it will sell because of the game.
