Thinking of cancelling Foxtel subscription and maybe just have Netflix, which streams ok in a regional area. Just wondering whether any feedback on streaming Kayo on a smart TV, whether it be good or bad. Hardly ever watch much on Foxtel apart from Sports, so would like reduce costs and have a good streaming experience.

I use Kayo on my samsung smart tv and it works great. I used to chromecast but no need for it now. Have you got good download speeds?

About 45 mbps which is pretty consistent.

I get that on NBN and don't have any problems. You should be right.

Foxtel or Kayo?
Same thing right?

Yep,

Except you are only paying for the sports service and don't have to pay for Foxtel basics to top up to the sports package.

Kayo is Foxtel's sport streaming service!

Sports only ?

If it's all you have Fox for, it's definitely worth it.

Id rather foxtel than kayo.
Like to just watch stuff on TV.

And can use foxtel Go to watch stuff when I'm at work or stuck at social stuff.

Yeah fair enough. I had a ridiculous Foxtel package where the only channels that were watched were the sports channels and my little fella would watch Disney Junior. We got Stan and Kayo for $36 a month to accommodate those and got rid of the $110+ Foxtel subcription.

I did twice and they never did jack, I had been with them for nine years when I told them I was going, they offered IQ4 with what I had for about $68 a month and I told them I'd still be better off with just Kayo, Stan and Netflix. They can get nicked.

Yeah I have a mate who does it. For whatever reason they wouldn't come to the party until I was ready to pull the trigger and then they went down the deal route.

The real benefit with kayo is it's on demand. So if you miss the start of the match you can choose to start live or from the beginning

Worked for me..but I did move house...and told them to jam it...the most annoying thing with FOX is they have specials all the time for new customers but seem to ignore their existing long term customers...

The father-in law just did it as well and went from over $100+ to $58 a month so it can be done..
